To add to my above post, this is basically an H&C stream, as I understand it, and self-sufficiency is something IRCC looks at in all H&C applications. I think it's no different here. They are looking to understand how the person applying will support themselves financially, either independently through working or by being supported financially by their family member in Canada.

Agree that there is always a financial aspect to H&C applications. If anything Canada has been very generous to Ukrainians and their families up to this point compared to what is being required from other regions like Sudan. Ukrainian families did not have to agree to support their families upfront, did not have to show significant proof of funds, got processing relatively quickly & for free, got access to healthcare even though on a WP technically had to show proof of a job to normally qualify, were given start-up funds, etc. I don’t people appreciate how unusual CUAET was and how all these large humanitarian programs are going to haunt Canada because there is now a precedent that will be demanded for any conflict.
