Hi all,

Can anyone tell me, I submitted my PR Renewal Application on14th Feb(Delivered to NS)? How do I track the status of my Application? Are they going to send me a letter/AOR in mail ?

Please advice.

It will take few days to receive AOR either by mail or email.
In the meanwhile just track the application(courier) to make sure it has been delivered to CIC

Ya, I sent it via CanadaPost on 7th Feb, it was delivered to CIC NS on 14th Feb. Looking forward for their response. I did mention the email address, not sure if they email or mail it to me. Let see! Thanks for replying.

AOR can come by email or via physical mail.

Also keep checking e-cas for any status updates.

I haven't been able to check the ecase? I am not sure if it can be checked for PR Renewal!! I tried using my PR Card Number but it doesnt show anything but some data not found..something of that sort! I'll wait this week or next week I should receive some letter or email from them! If not maybe I'll call them.

Does anyone knows the phone I should contact them at?

Once you receive acknowledgement then you can check your status online within 3 to 7 days after receiving the acknowledgement. use your UCI#

It may take from 2 to 4 weeks to get AOR. Call centre can't check the application status unless it's opened.
Firstly it will be queued and then will be opened after few days and they will check completness and then will send AOR and at that point of time CIC call centre can check it.

It says on the site that the processing time is 49 days for renewal of PR Card. I wonder if this is true tho?

My Pr Card will expire on the March 17th. I just submitted my application today via express mail... and I need to leave on May 31st, I got an offer as a wedding videographer.

Do you think I will have any luck? Huhu!

I can't apply for PRTD here in Canada, and it will take weeks I think to apply for it outside of Canada... Huhu! I don't know what to do! I think I'll just die! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hopefully you will get your PR card renewed before you fly. For future reference, don't renew the PR card before it is about to expire. Renew it around 6 months before it expires.

I did not renew my PR Card right away because I never thought I would get this offer, plus I'm already planning on applying for my citizenship.

My last option is PRTD, but I'm only staying in Mexico for 5 days... not sure how long it will take to get PRTD. HUHU!

My application for renewal was received in Sydney on Jan 27/17. I just received AOR yesterday, so you may have a bit more of a wait. I didn't realize it was such a process to renew. I have international travel booked on April 17 and my card is expired... getting nervous about getting it in time!

Can you please tell us when they finish processing your PR? I personally believe it'll take them almost 10 days to finish it.
