PR Card Renewal - March - April 2017 Applications

WoW....they issued you a PR card in just 5 days!! and you should receive it in few days in the mail. You are one of the very very rare lucky ppl. You shouldn't be here in this forum.

My card hasn't still arrived yet but wondering how long it would taken

PRTD was issued today. Also, got an email from my MP's office saying that my PR card was issued today and will be sent in the mail.

A lawyer's advice, if you want to force them to take a decision on your PR renewal, travel overseas and apply for a PRTD. When the Consulate takes a decision on your PRTD, IRCC has to take the same decision and finalize your PR renewal application.

It took me 2.5 weeks to get the PRTD going through the VAC office in NYC. It was a disastar.

Got my 5 yrs entry/exit records from the US but couldn't provide the UK and Dubai ones. It was a stupid request to begin with anyways.

This is not necessarily true! At least not for my case.

I applied for a PRTD last year. It took a month for the decision to be made and the date of issuing was August 18th, 2016. My process for renewal was in secondary review since May 26th, 2016. The new card was issued just March 26th, 2017 (7 months after PRTD issuance date).

I am really Surprised with some of the results

I sent my application in early May CIC received on 17th May ( courier confirmation) but when I checked the status of my application, online nothing showed not even showing that they have received the application website showing that they are processing application received on 17th may but I cannot see my case status.
Sent Urgent Processing request in June which was happily rejected.
When I call they say case in queue and will show online when the officer starts to work on it I need to travel mid of august not sure what are my options

Applying for travel document from India is out of question as it may take more than two weeks

Any suggestions or hope ??

Get a US Visa. Fly back to the US. Rent a car and drive through the borders with you landing form and your passport. No other options I can think of right now.

thanks I know that is the only option but I am out of Luck no Appointment before end of august and will they accept application without PR

matque did they ask for any additional documents when the file went into secondary review
