I can answer to your 2nd question only. We are classed under PNP, but the minimum requirements are assessed under FSW.

Go through this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/index.asp. You can read a lot of interesting stuff and get useful info.

You're welcome! Someone posted it a while ago and I saved it as a reference. It served me well whenever I had a doubt on something. We'll see was it really useful in the following months.

It depends on what Category you fall under, for example i was eligible for CEC and my pnp was based on that so they will assess me under CEC requirements. So I think saying all PNP applicants get assessed under the requirements of FSW is wrong.
