On all forms it did say that you are obliged to inform CIC of any changes in employment, status etc.August27.2015 said:Hey guys. Any idea what happens if someone quits their job or gets fired before PR comes through?
Cic does check employment dtatus.Letmethinktwice said:On all forms it did say that you are obliged to inform CIC of any changes in employment, status etc.
Although I'm not sure if they are doing any secondary checks since Province approved you.
One could try and not to say anything, but what results it will bring - honestly I don't know.
I don't think that's totally true as there are different PNP tracks. There are some that are employer-sponsored and some that are not. In Manitoba which is where i've been living for the past six years, once you graduate any post secondary education and you are able to hold your job for 6 months+, you are eligible to apply for PNP under the PGWP/Manitoba experience class (LOL..don't know it's official name). I'm a testimonial under this class and as a matter of fact, i was fired 8 months into my job while PNP was yet to nominate me, i eventually got nominated without a job and my application went on several months without a job before i finally landed my current job.Sandra80 said:Cic does check employment dtatus.
I knew a guy that got fired and did not tell cic. He got mail yelling hom he hast to find lmia job in the same occupation in the same process or else his pr application is invalid.
He did not find a job with lmia in time and had to leave canada.
Always best to keep the job you have until you have pr at least

maybe if u are only waiting for passoport is less risk...
