Hi Indigo, hi Maja

my landing was super easy, not many questions and i wrote myself a "goods to follow" list. I was out of the airport in about 30 minutes. Two days later went to the Service Canada office and got my SIN and health care. Last week I received my PR card and I switched the international drivers license to my Alberta license. Everything goes pretty smooth so far. Hope it wont stop.

Good luck to you guys

Hi all,
My partner is from Holland and we filed his app around the same time as you Indigo! Mississauga received it sept.7th and dec.22nd we received the confirmation from December. Everyone has been saying that soon after he will get his PPR but I think the way you put it indigo
as cautiously optimistic describes it best.
He is now in the process of applying for an open work permit (working holiday under the international experience canada program) so that even if the PPR takes a while at least he can come and live and work here while he is waiting. Anyone else have any experience with his? The spots just opened up for 2012 this past week!
Hope to hear back from all you out there. Holidays suck when you have to be alone :(

I'm too old for the Working Holiday Program. :(
I think it is possible to apply for it though, but if you already heard from Berlin you might get PR befgore your Working Holiday Permit.

Berlin still has our postal code misspelled in Ecas, we emailed them about a month ago but heard noting back. I heard rumours that changing your address in Ecas may cause delays, but I think we're doing it anyways, since a misspelled address is a great recipe for trouble...

Edit: turns out we can't change our address on Ecas, since my application is being processed at an outland office. So we're going to send them a fax instead.
