Wow you really believe IRCC is paying for you to immigrate to Canada?I bet that processing our applications costs more than the fees we paid. They aren't making a profit of those applications

it isn't entirely unfathomable that processing costs more than whatever applicants are paying in fees. it's an entirely transactional relationship; highly skilled immigrants (hopefully) contribute to the growth of canada, canadian benefit from canada's growth. so why is it not believable that the government is investing in immigration?Wow you really believe IRCC is paying for you to immigrate to Canada?
True. Immigration does contribute to the Canadian economy a lot but fees are designed to cover the processing costs of all applications whether successful or not. Everyone has their own opinion but I personally don't believe Canada is in anyway financing immigration at this point. Hence the lack of immigration agents - long processing times.it isn't entirely unfathomable that processing costs more than whatever applicants are paying in fees. it's an entirely transactional relationship; highly skilled immigrants (hopefully) contribute to the growth of canada, canadian benefit from canada's growth. so why is it not believable that the government is investing in immigration?
i have AOR of 1 June 2019 (couple). then got ppr sometime last dec. put my process on hold coz we were expectating a baby in april 2020. Post delivery did medical and passport of newborn. Then in July 2020 we were told to redo our medicals. no extension happened. now we are again waiting for ppr. hopefully 30th Sep brings good news. When they review medical results again they extend the validity of it by 12 months
That's probably because you need to have a valid medicals when you land.i have AOR of 1 June 2019 (couple). then got ppr sometime last dec. put my process on hold coz we were expectating a baby in april 2020. Yep, I agree. They charge for it and we pay for it so we should expect actions from them as paying customers. We are not asylum seekers. We are valuable people (not that asylum seekers may be less of value) that can contribute a lot to any economy and that is worth more than any money. You know, neither the cost or whether they make money out of it or not bothers me. The only absolute irritation is the fact that they have no respect, whatsoever, for our time and for our plans. It seems as if they are doing us a favor. The least they could do would to provide an approximate estimate. One can not hold his/her life plans indefinitely. People need to know if Canada has a solid plan or not so that they can make decisiona about their lives.
Wow amazing , 69950 ITAs with 3 months remaining in 2020, at the pace they are handling applications and issuing PPRs and considering they still have plenty ( thousands) of 2019 AOR applicants still waiting for PPR , they are having a huge backlog and we are in for months and months of additional waiting , talk about incompetence...They still want immigrants cash though. 2019 - 89800 ITAs issued. January - September 2020 - 69950 ITAs issued and on its way to break a new record this year.

Immigrants also are privileges. Assets to be more accurate. It's mutual. And dun get me wrong. Waiting is a part of this procedure. Just that they could simply try to come up with an approximate plans and actually let people know. After all there might be some people who, knowing how long it might take, might prefer to try other countries or do something else with their lives. But simply because they dun know, they just wait in hopes that maybe tomorrow is the day for them.Immigration is a privilege
So you’re upset because there isn’t an EXACT timeline of how long an application (your application maybe) could take, within the reduced manpower scope of a global pandemic, one that has delayed processing on literally all other aspects of life?Immigrants also are privileges. Canada is a welcoming country and has otherwise a great government with lots of support for people which is highly appreciable. But in this case and in this very bad situation, they're just handling it not the way expected from them.
Did I at all use the word "EXACT"? Also, not having enough manpower is one thing, being able to anticipate the reduction in manpower and try to plan accordingly and to inform your stakeholders is a totally different thing. These are like the very alphabet of project management in pretty much any field. So you’re upset because there isn’t an EXACT timeline of how long an application (your application maybe) could take, within the reduced manpower scope of a global pandemic, one that has delayed processing on literally all other aspects of life?
Another thing that, this is just my opinion. Doesn't mean I'm right or wrong. Just an opinion like yours. So, no reason to get angry or upset all of a sudden. So you’re upset because there isn’t an EXACT timeline of how long an application (your application maybe) could take, within the reduced manpower scope of a global pandemic, one that has delayed processing on literally all other aspects of life?
You aren’t a stakeholder in this process. Not even close. Maybe a client. IRCC have provided the bare minimum communication that they need to (from a legal standpoint)Did I at all use the word "EXACT"? “Due to the impacts of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we can’t
process applications normally
provide accurate processing times”
Any client is a stakeholder. Unless we live in totally differrnt worlds. And the only thing I expect is for the system to be fair and that they provide an ESTIMATE of their process phases so that they don't seem random, thus unfair, to "clients". That's all. For instance, fair means that people who applied earlier with all the stages done should receive higher priority as compared to those who applied much much later. If something like this happens, it seems that it is handled in a random manner. You aren’t a stakeholder in this process. Not even close. Maybe a client. Curious as to what else you expect from them?
