Wage is high enough to be eligible for 10-days processing.johnny123 said:What is his/her wage?
So if they don't want low-wage nor high-wage workers, what do they want?
Alexios07 said:Well, you like you said, we, the CEC applicants, "are a hoping for the demise of other groups to your own benefit".
You by getting PR through LMIA, means someone in Express Entry system will lose his or her ITA, due to the quota. Your gain is their loss right? I'm just using your own logic.
But honestly, these changes to LMIA are proposing by the ruling government, not by myself, so if you are not comfortable with it, then just go somewhere else, no need for any of your condescending comment here.
Thanks. However, these are not predictions. They are changes that are planned and introduced by the IRCC themselves, so I think at least 80% or these will be implemented in this Fall.thestunner316 said:Great work Alexios, I'm an FSW candidate so I'm hoping not all of the predictions come true
But predicted changes seem logical, more points for international students will mean more students would want to apply and come to canada, so more $$$ to their economy, exactly the opposite of what UK did, they even removed the 2 year work permit a few years back and now no one wants to study there... during my visit there last year spoke to a guy who was selling into education sector, he said they are totally jacked coz there are hardly any international students coming to UK.
Probably not, because you don't have a Candian degree, but which field are you working in? Your occupation might be exempt from getting an LMIA, so you can claim extra points for a valid job offer.karthik506 said:I have international ph.d degree and 3 years canadian working experience. Yes. Postdoc are exempt from LMIA. However, my employment is not permanent and I have to renew it every year. Hence, I cannot get extra points.Alexios07 said:Probably not, because you don't have a Candian degree, but which field are you working in? They are also planning to change the requirement of job offer from "indeterminate" to "one year" only.karthik506 said:Yes. Postdoc are exempt from LMIA. However, my employment is not permanent and I have to renew it every year. Hence, I cannot get extra points.
This will be a great news if it will happen.Alexios07 said:They are also planning to change the requirement of job offer from "indeterminate" to "one year" only.
All what we know is in the links from the first post.BharatJain said:I have a CRS score of 442. I have a Canadian Post Graduate Certificate (1 Year) but no Canadian Work Experience which is why I am only eligible for the FSW program. Is it possible that these changes will work in my favour? Will I get additional points for a 1 year PG Certificate?
Thanks.

Question:
I am planning to give IELTS in October for the FSW program. And am sure that I Can achieve CLB 9 or higher , which in turn will make my CRS points close to 480. What are my chances if these changes come into effect?
Note: My wife does have her brother living in Canada ( Permanent Resident).
And we both live in USA and have US work experience of 5 years+ if that matters.
Any ideas are welcome. Thanks for reading.
