The new changes are also going to "significantly" reduce LMIA points. So 600pts might be a thing of the past. In this case, then CEC and applicants with canadians will get an important push/advantage.betty44 said:November 1 rst, sounds like i good day for possible changes, if not then i dont think changes will be announced this year. If you have 400 points wait for ontario pnp to open or if you qualify for any other pnp do it. when you have people with pnp getting additional 600 points it is really good to consider the fact that unless extra points for siblings and international students reach 100 or 200 points it is going to be really hard to receive an ITA. a lot of people enter the pool daily and and too many of then with job offers getting thoses 600 ADDITIONAL POINTS right way. To be able to compete at least 200 additional points should be given to inter. Students, french speakers and siblings, otherwise i think it is going to be the same thing.
Personally, I think extra 100 or 200 points (pts) for canadian siblings, canadian degree and speaking french is too many and a bit unrealistic. As most of CEC applicants aka former int'l students usually has around 410 ~ 440 CRS already. Therefore, an extra 50 to 80 pts for each of those thing is more than enough.betty44 said:November 1 rst, sounds like i good day for possible changes, if not then i dont think changes will be announced this year. If they want people who speak french to settle outside quebec you would want to provide them if all the additional points possible to perserve the french language in canada and you see only one province besides quebec has a french program ect. ect... my point is to be able to compete in the pool one must be able to get at least additional 200 points. Im afraid 50 to 100 points wont make any difference unless you are already over 450 points
Pnp quotas are separate from federal. No need to change anything with pnp.betty44 said:Im just saying pnp provides additional 600 that keeps the cutoff always high. To compete with that it is only logical same amount to be given to international graduates otherwise it will be the same thing
