Sorry I'm just seeing that your just at the beginning don't worry girl.

so sorry, i forgot to say a big congrats to CDNGirl!!!! I'm sure you are just beside yourself!!! :):):)

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, i'm just starting out on this journey. Worrying runs in my family :) We worry about every little things.

Congrats again!

CDNGirl, question for you.....i noticed that you didn't receive an "AOR", did you ever request CAIPS notes on your file? If so, did that help out?

Thanks!! :)

Cruises, I never received CAIPS.. It's not really useful unless your really over the processing time. And another thing to definitely keep in mind is:
NOT EVERYONE RECEIVES AOR, SO IF YOU FALL IN THAT CATEGORY, ITS TOTALLY NORMAL.

Good afternoon everyone,

Would like to congratulate all those who have made it to the end and are in the process of bringing their spouses to them.

Just wanted to know in regards to interviews at the POS office, are you notified by mail for your interview and also what kind of questions do they ask.

Thanks

Goodmorning forum family,
another wonderful day waking up in Georgetown, Guyana ;D

How are you all? Alil info at my end, my Hubby receieved a letter from Port Of Spain requesting him to redo his medical and send in Passport to Georgetown which will forward it onto Port Of Spain thence in 2-4weeks he will than be informed what the final decision is... Is that normal? I thought by requesting passport, they made a final decision already... Plus in the letter, they mention that he had to be in Canada by July 21st 2011 the latest...

BTW, our fingers are crossed, we are happy already.. Within 8months things seem to be moving.. But I must say, Port Of Spain is ALWAYS full with surprises, since my approval from Canada in May and file being transfered to Port Of Spain, we NEVER heared back a word about our application until this month; no answers to our emails, calls, and fax.... VERY SCARY!

Please share your opinions with me..

Congratulations CDNGIRL! I am so hopeful now! My hubby is also in Guyana and my papers were sent to Trinidad 1 month after yours. Remember what I told you before the holidays??!!?? This is wonderful news!!!Enjoy the rest of your holiday! Im sure everything willl fall into place for you both very soon!

How great, Yes girl I remember our talk before the holidays, OUR time is here, and yours will be too. Soon this forum will be dead because we will all be busy warming up in bed with our honeys, haha.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS GIRL! I am so happy for you. I just spoke to hubby too! The fact that they gave him a date to leave Guyana proves that all is well. Count your blessings my dear. Relax and enjoy the rest of your vacation.
;)
Enjoy GT!

His expired in December.

Good day, hope everyone is having a great day and are getting somewhere with their cases.

Hi Onedayatatime!

Welcome! I see that you are a newbie just like me. It seems as though we filed our application right around the same time. I'm just wondering if you could provide further detail about the AOR you received. Does it say anything in particular or is it pretty much a standard letter?

Seeing as this is your second sponsorship, you should be a pro at this! :) As for me its my first time and its really taking a toll on me. I'm just starting the process and have so much anxiety. I keep going over everything i submitted in my head and hoping it was enough.

Question for anyone who would like to answer: If my husband's children will not be accompanying him to Canada does that help us in terms of the timeliness of the application? My hubby's children is in the custody of the mother as he works overseas 7 months out of the year.

I hope everyone's having a great day
:):)

Hey, the letter was pretty straight forward nothing major just that I have been accepted as a sponsor and that the case has been forwarded to Trinidad.

As per knowing a lot because its the second time around, that doesn't really mean anything because every case is different no matter what. Also back then it was a lot easier to sponsor someone than it is now. Many of the guidelines and requirements have changed to avoid "fake" marriages.

All we can do is hope and pray that we all get through soon.

my io called me to pick up my passport. so i am going this morning at 8 am.
how perfect.
today is my last day at work as well
:)
