CIC also returned some of our items with the sponsorship approval letter last month. Our file is sitting in Trinidad now.

Confused....you kill me...I had a feeling you were a gent as soon as I typed "ladies" I don't know why?? LOL, crazy-ass intuition....but whatever's clever, I'm glad we all share the same interest, ain't nuttin wrong with that, cuz the same thing that floats your boat, sure as hell floats mine..hee hee heee.

The officer was a mid-age (50's) white man, very friendly but quick with questions and rebuttals, he well knew our file, well I guess the notes that was originally made helped him. I heard from a few people that all the Canadian Immg Officers are white Canadians....i guess to stick with authencity cuz they know all-ah-we color people croooked...LOL. Hope that helps.

I hope you had a safe flight back to Canada and you are not missing hubby as much as you imagined. Well, we both know I am lying here because you do miss him a lot.

When you said that the IO was fast with rebuttals what do you mean by that?
Have you ordered CAIPS for hubby before the interview to know what they were going to question him on?
Was the interview done face to face or did they have a glass cover like those at a cashier counter between the interviewee and the IO?
What sort of evidence have you submitted to show the genuineness of the relationship prior to interview?

Sorry for all the questions but my time is soon coming and I would like to be prepared as best as I can.

As much as it was great seeing my hubby, it sucks big time to come back home alone ...such a tease...or torture!!

RE: the IO's quick rebuttals-- when the IO asked my hubby a question, and then he answered, the IO was quick to come with a next question, I guess to trip him up... sometimes irrelevant to what my hubby was talking about, once again a Immg tactic to trip you up. But I don't see it a problem to take you time to answer your question, just don't hesitate and/or stammer.

RE: Caips--yes, i ordered it once i knew he had the interview date set, cuz i knew by that time they had made some sort of decision on the file. personally, the caips weren't helpful to us...if anything it got me more vex, cuz it looked like they made a decision to interview him since January and we only got a phone call re: interview at the end of April. all the caips said was everything we put on the apps, jus short form, it didnt have an explanation or reason why they wanted to see him.

The interview was in an office face to face, the man behind the desk and my hubby in front of the desk on a chair...he said it was fairly relaxd atmosphere. Confused are u also going to POS for your interview...or in GT?

RE: Proof---oh lawd, i sent it prob 25 pounds of stuff, i sent in over 500 pics phone logs from cell phones, home phones, my skype subscription, a whole heap of phone cards, plane boarding passes, stubs from when we went to places (movies, races, shows, etc.) i lived in a few countries, so phone cards from those countries, proof of my pre-paid phones an his phone bill showing he called those numbers. I think the biggest chunk was the phone stuff and pics. Also, after everytime I visit him we sent in additional info showing ongoing relationship, so my boarding passes, copy of my passport, and a whole set of pics again.

when u go in for the interview they will ask you what additional info u have to submit, so make sure u start gathering from now.

no worries about asking questions, im here to help, we're all in the same boat together, if i can make a difference for one person, i feel that i've accomplished something

Well, I have ordered CAIPS notes back in April of this year and it didn't really have anything mentioned on the file except for the application notes, the file is put in queue for interview since September 09 when they reviewed it and BF date of June 30, 2010. Yes, almost 10 months after they got my file they put a BF date. Was I pissed? Absolutely because I felt as if they are treating my file unfairly and I would like answers as to why.

I am going to reorder CAIPS soon seeing that the old notes came before the BF date. I will definitely keep on top of things with them because they are beginning to piss me off a lot.

I have so many other proofs of things such as emails, Skype phone bills, our tax return statement, our mortgage, utility bills, bank statements, property ownership with both our names, pictures, pictures and more pictures from things we have done post application, etc.

I must tell you that there aren't a lot of pictures per event but there are quite a few put together when I sort them out. Only thing, it's hard to remember the things we have done since our application. We don't always take pictures at events with CIC in mind and coming to think of it now, I kinda do regret not keeping CIC in mind at those picture snapping moments.

When he was here in GT to visit, it was kind of difficult taking pictures together because we moved alone most of the times. I have however retained receipts of purchases we made while he was here. It's kinda uncomfortable standing close to another male to take a picture while walking on the streets of GT, if you know what I mean. We have a few still from trips and such we have taken.

Well, I think there is a few more evidence to provide to them and I hope that it doesn't hold anything against me for them to question our relationship as one of convenience.

I will keep bugging you in due time as I get closer to my interview.

Can't wait to take my trip down to Barbados in a few weeks to see him again for the second time in about 2 months.

After that, I will be blowing whistle cuz our next meeting if all goes well will be when I go back to Canada or if not, in one of the islands early next year ... hopefully Curacao.

Guys dont be afraid of interview it's to testify you know your parther and verify originals docs in most cases onces your have a straight forward case you will be walking out the office in 1/2 hr with a smiling face. Also dunt worry abt what questions will be ask because cuz u knew it all. God bless.

Confused, you seem like u have a more than valid relationship, I don't think you guys will have any probs. As for taking pics when it's jus me an my hubby alone, I literally stop people in the street and ask them to take a pic for me....Hubby hates when i do that...but whatever!!! I know it's harder for u to do the same, but trust me, people are waaaaaaay more excepting nowadays, all over the world, just a matter of them coming out too kudos to u guys!!!

Did you hubby need a visa for Curacao? I sooo want to visit St. Martin and Curacao but their entry requirements are no so clear.

PRF = Permanent Resident Fee or some people use RPRF = Right of PR Fee
