Hey Ladies...miss me much
I'm not back yet, will be on Sunday...so I'm squeezing in all the TLC I can possibly get in...LOL
My hubby's in the shower and I finally got net connection so I said lemme drop you guys a line.
As for his interview, he said it went pretty good. His appt was for 8am, we got there for 7.30am even though we were literally staying 3 minutes away ffrom there. There was a line up of about 150 people (all for visitor visa) so we bypassed the line and they let him in. He said there was about 8 people there for interview, they called them in as the came through the door. His interview lasted around 35-35 minutes...with wait time, he was out by 9.15am.
He was well prepared with the questions and answers, the only stumble was when they asked if he has a criminal record, which he doesn't have except for a misdemeanor from 9 years ago (nothing serious) but it's still showing as he didn't pay the fine. We called his family in the states to get a clarification letter and they did, so that part should be fine. The only other hiccup was his FBI clearance, which we haven't received yet, but he showed them proof that he applied for it, and they were satisfied with that so far. They told him they will start their background check now and in the meantime when we receive the FBI clearance we must send it in and he will get a response within 3 months of them receiving it.
Majority of the things they asked pertained to me...like, where I work, what I do, who I live with, how our relationship started, ....pretty much everything on the applications. They also asked in detail which family members of mine he met and which of his, I met...THEN they pulled out my million pictures and started pointing fingers and asking who's this, who's that (cross-referencing it to what we wrote about attendees at the wedding etc.) They also asked why he left the states and if after he get his CDN papers if he's gonna go back, I guess som trick question that will fool some people...but I well prep him
He said how he and the man talk and laugh the entire time until the clearance stuff came about.
They also asked for new things showing the ongoing relationship, so ofcourse i had a truckload of pics an phonecards, which the man told my hubby to keep ...LOL (i think that's a good sign) the man said how we sent it wayy too many pics, so he returned it all to us, along with the phone cards. Some of the things they asked for on his letter, (like both our original birth cerificates/marriage certificate/and something else...i forgot) the man didn't even ask him for it. I guess that's also a good sign, plus my hubby was well organized
So things looking good...i think anyways.
I'm thinking next week his file should be updated from his interview so I will re-order another CAIPS notes and see what uncle write in his file
....i'm hoping something along the lines of "good-to-go as long as FBI clearance rec'd clear!!"
GT, CDN and Confused, you guys are keeping me well entertained...lol, keep it up, kinda making the process a little less exhausting
thanks. btw, I just realized we all got a lil sum-sum this past weekend....hahhahaha, yeahhhh for us
Confused, I hope I gave you your fix
...lol and I also hope I've helped you a bit with your interview. Gimme a shout with your questions (cuzz I know you will..hahahha). I'll try to take a breather in between my TLC...and btw, I'm also in my twenties...mid to be exact
lol
Goodnight ladies. Keep your head up and stay positive!!!
