I know someone had a post about the interview in POS (i forgot the name..sorry) can you or anyone that had the interview please elaborate on the questions they ask?? do they ask questions straight off from your applications? or random questions? relationship related? or other? any help is great help. Really appreciate it.

Thank you guys so much, will be on here regularly as we are all in the same boat together. GOod luck everyone!!!

WC Impatient,

I too am going through GEORGETOWN and my file is in POS.

If you look at my profile you will see the details of my application and how long it's been processing for. I have an interview in September. Way longer then I expected but I know it's going.

You should be very happy that your hubby got an interview in under 6 months of your application.

I haven't yet received my letter for the interview. I only saw the update on e-CAS. Is there an update on e-CAS as well for your hubby's application?

A few months ago, I emailed the POS office and they said that the interview will take place in GEO but I guess they are making Guyanese go to POS for the interview.

This is the second case from GEO that has to go to POS for an interview. Very strange.

Have you requested for the interview in POS or have they just automatically put POS as the place of interview.

Anyway, please do fill us in with the details.

Hi Confused!...don't be scared, everything will fall in place in due time, what's meant to be..will be.

As for my hubby's interview...when they called him in April they asked if he wants an interview in July in POS or in late Sept in GT. He said POS and the lady confirmed it over the phone. Weird thing though, as for the letter, he only got it from them less than 2 weeks ago. POS office is soooooooooo slack, them Canadians really adapt to "west-indian time" :(

You're lucky you got an email response from them, I've emailed them numerous times on different matters/concerns re: our file and up to this day, absolutely NO RESPONSE....unless you count in that automatic BS one that they will respond to you. And even when we write them, they write back more than a month later saying, we cannot give you an update right now, your shit is in queue!!! call, email, write...it's all pointless.

On a different note, last month I had ordered his CAIPS notes and I got it today :) ....can't wait to go home an open the mail!!! Will keep you posted on that!!!

So wait, you applied since June of last year??? Is your file straight forward??

Thanks for the positive vibes impatient :)

I am in a bit of a hurry but I will give you a quick response to your questions.

I have applied since June last year at CPC-M. But, my case is not so straight forward just because I lived in Canada and was a failed Refugee and PRRA applicant. Entered though as a minor and lived there for 8 year. I adapted very well to the society and have done quite a lot in terms of education and community service work. I am no where close to being a criminal or anything like that. I was dipped back (deported) home due to my failed applications back in January this year.

Here I am still waiting on POS to effing give me answers.

All my contact information for POS to correspond with me is in Canada so I guess they probably gave me that option but I screwed up because my old cell number which is on my file is no longer in use... crap, I should change that

Talk later

Sorry for the late response confused!! I was trying to get ahold of the CAIPS file person as indicated on my sheet, of course...no luck. Got hold of 2 unhelpful people that gave me generic answers when I asked questions, felt like I was talking to POS :( .....unhelpful!!!

Ok as for the CAIPS, everything seems in order except for the given, he's missing his FBI clearance and I KNEW for sure they weren't gonna give him the green-light without it. It doesn't say specifically why they are asking for the interview. When I called an spoke to the "unhelpful" ppl they said "it's procedural" ....but I KNOW, not everyone has an interview!!! The CAIPS notes cleared my head a bit, so I am thinking he's been called for an interview because he didn't submit his FBI clearance (which we are impatiently waiting on) OR we prob sent wayyyyyyyyy too many pics!!! lol....i prob sent over 500 :) ..they wann see prooof :)

All in all the notes basically summarized everything we wrote in the apps. I was under the impression that under our notes they were gonna write, "ok we need further info on...." but it wasnt' like that.

Hope that helps. Keep positive!!! :)

Thanks much for the information impatient.

You took longer then expected but it's all good ... he he he

Now, is your husband's application very straight forward in the sense that he's never overstayed any visas or been removed from any country, etc?

I was deported from Canada due to being a failed Refugee and PRRA applicant and I will be needing ARC (Authorization to Return to Canada) once everything gets rolling.

My BF date is today so I am hoping I get some letters in the mail requesting for new meds re-do, etc.

Best,
Confused

LOL, once again....sorry for that late response. got caught up in deciphering CAIPS!!!

No I won't consider my hubby's case to be staight-forward, he was removed from the states...but the situation is so messed up cuz they granted him his PR (green card...whatever u call it in the states) but everytime he went in, they never had a greencard/number for him, so he was always sent back to get the greencard/number at a later date. So he missed the last date for when he was supposed to go in an they tracked him down and pretty much sent him back (which is messed up). Aside from that I think everything is pretty straight forward....oh wait, one last thing, i was married before, well it was in the middle of our relationship, we had broken up for a bit and i was on the rebound, it didnt last long. So that might be the other issue :( .....talk about getting them skeletons out :) lol.

Oh boy impatient ... we all have some messed up story to our immigration record.

I am sure he will be fine even though the US and Canada share their immigration history over the border. However, CIC may be a bit tough on him for his previous immigration history in the US but I don't think it'll be a biggie.

CAIPS should have had some sort of detail stating why the IO wants to interview him. Just make sure that he prepares himself properly and that you grill him on your previous marriage, your relationship with him and his immigration record for the US. Just let him be honest and take his time to answer the questions they ask. I am sure you know the drill, etc. ... he he he

When exactly is his interview?

Best,
Confused :)

I forgot to add,

CAIPS is not that difficult to read.

I think you can do a CAIPS search in this forum and find the details.

Eg, 1 = MALE 2 = FEMALE

I hate the numbers. Lastly, is there another BF date on your hubby's file?

Thanks for the positivite notions, confused!!!! ...much appreciated.

His interiew is next Wednesday. As for the BF date, not that I know of, guess they will decide an let him know at the interview????

So I'm assuming a BF date is a good sign, right??

As for figuring out the CAIPS stuff, I pretty much figured the important stuff, things looking good. And I did find the codes, that's what helped me.

Keep me posted on your BF stuff (crossing fingers)!!!
