You know some of you in this forum really have a lot of knowledge on this immigration process, more than some immigration lawyers I know. Hubby and I agreed that you could open a consultancy. Every time I read the forum, i am always impressed by extent of knowledge and suggestions that is put forward ( I myself, not really knowing much, other than the general process.)

Agreed! I think the knowledge base is purely because we all have/ are living this experience one day at a time and we find a way to navigate through the system. Lived experience is so valuable. I worked with parents and children in the community for many yrs. and I feel that since having a child of my own, I have a whole different perspective on parenting and the realities of parenting, balancing life, etc.
I think since joining the forum I have learned so many things about the process which I wouldn't have known otherwise.
It's Friday... Who gets good news today?! Doc.lady is the passport back in transit yet? No word in our end. Was hoping for a call this week but maybe it will be next week. I am be extra mindful patience is needed right now!

Most likely at the end of November. We did not make any definite plans because we were not sure what was going on with POS. Also, both of us are still working full time here so November, will give us enough time to wrap up our projects and to pack up our things to ship out. We will be in Scarborough for a bit while we sort out our plans :)

That's a perfect time to travel. Hope there won't be too much snow by that point. Have you been to Canada before? Spent any time here in the winters?
My husband is already telling me to bring his North Face to the airport for his arrival. Just when he was settling in and use to the winters, he went back to Trinidad. I told him I doubt he will need it just yet, he disagrees!

Were is that passport @behopeful and its@doclady hope you get it today its 2 weeks already. Its a good time to get home gives your body sometime to get use to the up and coming snowy weather.

No worries doc lady! Glad to hear from you and wonderful that PP will be in your hands soon.
My husband has grown to enjoy winters and the 4 seasons. Don't think I could live in a one climate country but maybe at some point.

I'm wondering if my husbands PP is just sitting waiting because they had to wait for his exclusion order to end before issuing his VISA. Ours was hand delivered September 18 (we'll put in the drop box) and nothing since. Very impatient and my mind tends to go to the negative thoughts and the what if's. All in due time I guess!

Hey@behopeful be a little.hopeful you said.the.exempt.has.expired.last week.so.am.sure yours is on its way they did say 2-4 weeks. Don't.let.negative thoughts cloud your.mind.its almost over there is nothing.holding.back your return.to.your spouse. Keep your head up.

Thanks Millslu! You are very correct.
I was thinking because husband is in Trinidad, he may get the call at 2 weeks. We can't track anything either because his PP was dropped off at the embassy.
I have big plans for my husband... Cleaning, cooking, laundry so I was thinking he could get on top of that this weekend!!! LOL! I will save the work for him!

No medicals requested from us either...only new background check, 4 photos for my dtr, docs showing proof of our relationship...My wife and I have been together since most of the time since we got married, we don't have letters and stuff..who does that anymore...we have joint account...apartment lease...gosh...I also have letters from our church, parents, and relatives attesting to our marriage...

My wife has also been living in Canada with me...4-6 months at a time...would they frown upon that? Should we emphasize that?

dtr?
