hey missd whats shaking girl, another sad weekend, any updates yet.

Hey millsu.. I'm cool... studying my butt off.

No updates here at all... it's getting so frustrating how quiet this office is. I obviously want an update for myself but I would love to hear about ANYONE getting updates at this point, just to know they haven't shut down the office completely. Sooooo quiet.

you know what missd its even harder for me casue i was deported in january and for the few months am gonna be here am trying to get a job to pay for expenses and things in this country is so hard economically and am getting fustrated, my wife sends money for me but its getting touch casue she has a mortgage to pay for our home and other expenses, if only i could find a job and take my mind of this crap it would make me feel maybe a little better, but for now am just hating every weekend and hating everyday that goes by and nothing happens.

its weird all the june applicant on yur spreadsheet has gone except me and those that have interviews coming, well just one is not even on the forum to keep us company, i guess that why we hand out in JA.

How is sturdying going on do you have an exam coming soon and how soon is it.

Yeah, I understand that.

I have medical board licensing exams coming up in May (which seems far away, but when you're supposed to study for 3-6 months for these exams, it's not far at all). So I'm trying to study but my mind keeps coming back to this whole process. While I was in Dominica, hubby used to help me study all the time. He'd be my practice patient, he'd make food for me while I was studying, give me a shoulder rub when I was ready to throw a book through the window... he was always there to help in any way. Now I'm alone studying and I'm stressed about being away from him AND about the exams... I don't enjoy it at all. But I try not to think about it so much... sigh.

This silence from POS is not giving me any hope either.

You will have to send a CSE (Case-Specific Enquiry/Email) to your visa office in Beirut. Make sure you fill in the info that shows your file number IN BEIRUT, your name, DOB, etc of you and sponsor. Tell them that you did your medicals on X date and they were sent to and received by Ottawa on X date. And that they should already have received them.

Your medicals should have been received after 3 months. When you sent them, did you put any identifying info on the package so that they could easily match them up to your existing file (ie. file number, both names, etc). Maybe they received them but had not yet had a chance to match them up properly.

Also, this thread is for people going through the Port of Spain office (in Trinidad and Tobago). You are welcome to stay here and post and we will help you out as much as we can! However, we wouldn't have info specifically about your office, as we only deal with POS.

I really hope so! But March is not that far away (first quarter report), so if they're gonna get things done before March they better be putting out a lot of PPRs this coming week, for people to get their visas by March lol. Oh well, guess we'll see.

Not til November... but hubby's is in May.. so maybe he'll be here for his next one

I hope so! I'm realllllyyyyy hoping for a fast processing, but when I think realistically, the only person I know whose gone through POS from Dominica before is ZoukPrincess. So I kind of base my realistic timeline on hers, as its the only one I know of.. She got through in 10 months. So if we go by that, I'm probably looking at June or July.. which means possible medical re-do (we did medicals in May and stupidly didn't send in application til August... hopefully they will just extend them...).

But we all know what I'm REALLY hoping for is to hear this month or, at latest, next month. I want my man with meeeee.

The processing time posted for POS has fluctuated several times (up and down) since I started this journey, so I don't really know if it will affect me or not.. I try not to even think about it... As I've always REALLY hoped that I would be done long before that posted timeline anyway.

And yes, I check the post office every day! And my email, etc. And every day it's the same... I hope you've been checking yours!

me not really am kinda tired of checking and watching and listening and my wife i miss her so much and she is so alone, everyday is a struggle for me, at least you have your school work to keep you occupied, i tried gettng a job but things are so hard here, hense the reason i left here 6 yrs ago hoping to never come back in this way. i didnt notice that the time fluctuates with POS, i wonder why they do that. do you see the party that is going on in KG forum, am so happy for moonie and the rest, the posted beautiful pictures and amazing stories, god bless them, dont worry missd we will tell our story very soon, even though its just a few months away it feel like an eternity, but god is good.

ok so here is a little boring update...i wrote to POS for they have the passeport for 2 weeks ad meds are in Ottawa for 3 weeks...here is the reply

This refers to your E-mail below.
We did received your passport, passport photo etc. We have not received your medical results as yet from Ottawa. They have received your completed medical, but it is still in the assessment stage. Once this is completed and we receive the final result, your file will be finalized. We will contact you via E-mail when we are ready to return your passport with visa.
