He came here in 2007 and filed for refugee..of course like most cases it never went through...so he had to sign in down airport road every month and then he got a letter saying he has an interview and when he went they told him hes getting a removal order...he left about 29 days later and verified everything with the officer and received his departure certificate...only thing is he let them pay for his ticket which he has to repay 1000 or so.

thanks @brit for giving us your details of yur circumstances and as i can see his past is almost if not the same as mine, and am glad you shared this casue i can already see a few red flags and also thing that will delay your application if we at the forum dont help you along. i came in canadad 2007 myself file refugee 2011 had to report as well failed as well got married and left in jan 2013 only diff is that i was advised to pay for my own ticket which i did.

so first delay would be to pay the ticket, nxt delay is that since he was deported he would need ARC to return to canada, i dont know when yourll got married after or before the refugee claim, so that might be an issue for an interview.

a few more question why did he file for refugee was he caught by cbsa wat was the reason for filing. and when did yurll get married and when was the child born.

He was not caught by cbsa..they just gave him his decision for his PRAA so he does not need an ARC he was subject to DEPORTATION ORDER only a departure order...if u dont leave withing the 30 days requested then that changes to a deportation order so ARC we dont need because I confirmed that already with them..

We got married december 2012..baby was born june 2012. He left feb 2012 after getting the decision in Jan 2012..

He filed for refugee because his student visa expired and needed to work legally, get health etc.

@brit let me give you my timeline and tell me if it is similiar. i was caught my ex wife called on my i reported to cbsa they gave me a departure order, now when u given a departure order u have 30 days and if am not mistaken since i have already stay way past my 6 month visa time(2007-2012)my departure order turn to exclusion (meaning a ban for 1 yr in canada), so i filed refugee and tht took a few month so now my departure order still stands and now i have passed 30 days so now it automatically turns into a deportation order. and the rest is history hhaha

did they give him a departure order at the airport and held his passport until he boarded the plane? sometimes u have to be careful who u ask for advice the cbsa ppl try not to furnish u with good advice. so i notice he did the PRAA

@BRIT AM so sorry i dont want to scare you i just want to help you with this, after reading you timeline i see more red flags, i saw that he got married 2 month before he left canada that is another red flag, so make sure you are prepared for an interview cause there is a few red flags, i dnt want to scare you i just want to help you, we have a wealth of advice here.

WOAH Well your situation is veryyy different....he applied for refugee after his student visa expired...he never received no form of removal order in between his visa expiring to make him file for refugee...Like i said the first time he got the letter to leave was last year ... When we went to the airport he met the officer at declaration and he got his passport and documents right there from him. So like i said he doesnt need an ARC i even checked his status online using his client ID number and hes fine..he even asked the men the day he went to his interview and they told him his options...either he lets me file for him and within 6-8 months he should be back and that was it..we didnt even get married right away to raise eyebrows..we got married a year later basiclly and plus i was well pregnant and couldnt travel till the baby was born and when she was 5 months. Ive been to st lucia 3 times since december 2012 so loool yes we are a real couple...and my phone bills are crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy

...My daughter was born in June...I travelled to st lucia in december 2012 when she was a little older to travel...we got married down ST LUCIA.

His magic jack messed up so we use skype now..i was just saying up to 2 months ago my phone bills were 100s of dollars so of course im using those for evidence...

I dont have a timeline to post lool im waiting on his pictures he suppose to send me and I just got my option c printout so when his pics arrive (the 8 sets of photos you need) then I can send of the package later this week **fingers crossed**

i really would advice on getting another magic jack as long as you have internet, and interenet in st,lucia is not tht hard to get. those call could be costly and aggrevating.

hahhhahaa and am sure about your love, great family yourll have and congratulation on your baby as well. i hope you enjoyed your stay in st lucia, what part of st lucia did you visit and stayed?

you can also print the magic calls and numbrs for future ref am not sure u can do tht with the caribbean king cards.

In St Lucia i stayed in Bocage Castries... which is the church we got married too..It was a nice little vacation but being from Jamaica definately smaller..

His magic jack had a new york number so thats on my phone bills as well which costed me almost nothing..

I am not even thinking about a lawyer bcus I am quite knowledgeable about immigration stuff, just wanted to meet St Lucian filing people so I can have a lil idea of what its like for the process..

I met this girl on the plane went i went down in April and she said she sent in all her phone cards, her man got sent hom too so she and I are in the SAME boat...just a pity I lost her in the airport cus she submitted hers Janaury of this year. My Guy also has 2 other kids here as well so its not just my daughter..its 3 kids on canadian soil.

hahah i was telling my wife about you and she joked tht she must have met you on the plane whilst she came visiting me in april of this year, and as soon as you said you met this woman on the plane eyes almost popped. haha, its funny as well my wife is jamacian but her family is ja she was born in canada, haha.

does he have a smart fone in slu or even internet you should just buy another magic jack get one year free, i bought my canada numbr for 10us i dnt know if there is any free canadian numbrs, but getting a magic jack is a cheaper option for you both.

but you dont need st lucian ppl to know the timeline basicaly all of us tht go through POS is the same there is one other guy besides me from st lucia he goes by the name @prisetman he had an interview in march dnt think it turned out to well, he is still waiting on his reply 4 months after. we have some good member from dominica and a few other island, i always wish we had more ppl being that POS deal with over 20 countries.


bocage is a nice place did you visit the beaches and our tourist ares up in the north. is your husband working right now?

well Gros Islet on a friday might is spot! n seaview on the boardwalk...we were always in Rodney bay too and we travelled around the island, like i know my way now for sure..I like marigot bay on a wednesday night too...were talkn on skype right now as a matter of fact but we rather see eachother all the time since it relieves a lil stress...

He is a barber down there but since he crashed off his bike in June and messed up his leg hes at home now until september he up and about again.

Ive seen a few POS cases that went so fast.. but how do we know where to pay the ticket fee? Someone said u pay it after Trinidad tells u to. THEN his visa will be issued.
