hey @priestman am hoping you dont need an ARC, if you want u can share with us the reason u think u diont need one, becasue u dont want to be wrong and then have to submit and ARC and have to wait another 3-4 of agonising pain away from your spouse.

well first off she said to me (after the interview) we are going to contact you within 6 months so I was like 6 months she replied I need to find out if you need an arc so I said to her no I don't need one she answered with the document you provide me you dont need one but on my computer says other wise. she also said my finger prints take six months I also was like 6 months. (my finger prints is digital they receive in days so even b4 my interview they had settled) she then said again I don't believe your marriage is genuine I was like re ally on what grounds and said that i did not provide information that my wife and I lived together for for two years I then ask he did you looked at the evidence provided she ask where is it (the file was in front of me on the desk) so I pulled out leases with our names, letters of support from my wife sister, pics fb messages,Tax returns, hospital documents and more stuff too much to mention she then picke some of them up photo copied it and gave it back to me. and said we are gong to contact you in 2-3 months. so I said 6 months she answered no 2-3 months. am here still waiting

its like she said that my marriage was not genuine bcz i would not let her make me believe that i needed an arc(well thats the feeling I got unless I was wrong) I was not deported hence the reason I do not need an arc.no I have not yet order any capes notes.

wow @priestman that is some insane stuff there, am sure they will look over all that document and realise they made a mistake and offer you that visa. it also looked like it was actually 6 months and not 2-3 months its already 4 month goin on 5 months.
so she kept mentioning the ARC how did you leave canada was there any order for you to leave, did you over stay. did you leave when you temp visa ran out. maybe you can clarify how you left. i know this may be hard for you but do remember, we are very anonimouse on this forum so you can feel free to talk to us, we just want to help you so that you can get the best advice and help, am sure if you remained with us through those months we would have adviced you on your next step, this situation is stressfull as much but we are all here to help.

i would recommend you order your nots as soon as possible. and thank you so much for sharing and am sure eveyrthing is gonna be ok.

Anyone had any experience with sponsoring their spouse from St Lucia and what should I expect as well as any advice before i seal the package? :-X

well good morning newbie welcome to POS forum, this is the place to be, we wil provide you with ample information concerning immigration process and the good thing about it is that it would cost you a thing and the information here has been gathered over years of experience ppl. since you application and all you documents are alread finished i would give you one bit of advice, the process is long it also becomes very fustrating especailly being away from your spouse for so long, we al go through it here, we give each other enough suppoort but its not the same as being with yur loved one, the advice is if your applicationand all document are signed and ready to go and you waiting on pictures , or anything else, please send the application, and you can always send extra pictures or skype or wahtever little documents you have to strengthen your marriage at a later date, time is of an essense here so make every second count.

am sure you will get to meet the rest of the member on this forum who have a wealth of knowledge and our fascilitator who keeps a spreadsheet of al activities she goes by the name of @missd.

feel frees to ask any question that is on your mind and we will be there to answer.

Thank you so much millslu...well your saying its a very long process but i realise on your timeline that yours whas pretty drawn out due to immigration requests and all...ive seen ppl from st lucia taking even 6 months! I myself is submitting EVERYTHING (medical, police report etc) They dont have to ask us for nothing and everything is up to date since they were recently done...the only thing immigration could ask us for at this point is an interview and fingers crossed lets hope not...also our daughter was born here so theres no dependent or other relatives to be filed for but my husband right..

i totally agree but dont want to scare you but processing time can take a while, check out MISSDOMINICA at the bottom of her window u will see a ink to the spreadsheet of all applicant and the basic timeline they take from way back to 2010, no one application is the same no one timeline is the same, you and someone can start the same time but finish differntly, some earlier some sooner, so if like you said have prepared everything and submitted everything, then tht is a great start and will definaltly move things along quite smoothly.

am hoping that some of the forum members will join you and welcome you. but @brit not trying to scare you but try to be realisetic and be patient alot of us here go through alot of waiting so i just want you to feel at home and make sure the road is as smooth and as quick as possbile.

He came here in 2007 and filed for refugee..of course like most cases it never went through...so he had to sign in down airport road every month and then he got a letter saying he has an interview and when he went they told him hes getting a removal order...he left about 29 days later and verified everything with the officer and received his departure certificate...only thing is he let them pay for his ticket which he has to repay 1000 or so.

I checked out MISSDOMINICA spreadsheet but that doesnt even help me much because there is not much information for people dealing with St lucia..

is there anyone who never had no problems at all that you know went through this and how long it took them as well as how long ago they filed????? Would be really helpful because like i told u were submitting EVERYTHING and paying in FULL... Thanks lemme know
