Hello all,

How is everyone? I am happy to see the thread being active and people posting. How r u feeling Cdnandtrini?
Have not heard from MissD.

My husband thinks I should stay away from the forum for a bit as I am obsessing over the process.
But staying away will not prevent me from thinking about this 24-7!
Hi FAD! This processing is difficult for sure. If you decide to take a break, know we will miss you! Do what feels right for you... We will all be here when you come back! I would agree the worst part is the obsession of it all. I find myself sometimes going back and forth between email, ECAS and the forum within a mayter of minutes. Anyways, your forum family is here to support you through it all! Take care of yourself!

Hey everyone,

Just caught up on all of your posts and updated the spreadsheet. If I missed anything, please let me know.

I am currently in Dominica with hubby. It's not vacation really, because I'm studying for huge exams and we aren't able to do much.. but I'm with him so I can't complain. I'm going to stay for a couple weeks and then I have clinical rotations in Canada to return to.

Inlimbo - congrats FINALLY on your PPR and extra special happy vibes to Cdnandtrini on your wonderful news - so happy to hear it.

No news for me from POS :(

Much love.

CdnandTrini: have you been to Tobago? I'm assuming you have... Any good suggestions of hotels? Anything we should absolutely do in Tobago? We have not been to Tobago yet. We plan it but time always runs out. If you have been, did you fly or go on the boat? I told my husband we would fly. I get motion sickness and figure it's much faster to fly with our young daughter.
Hi Behopeful, believe it or not I have not been to Tobago!! My reasons are the same as yours :D and in addition, on one trip we finally had a plan but all the ferries and flights were booked - yes they actually do run out of transportation - and 2 days later I slipped in hubby's driveway (do not wear crocs in the rain folks) and tore ligaments and fractured my foot. So......when I flew home I needed wheelchair service in both airports :p. Therefore no Tobago yet, time runs so fast when I am there and he has a big family and we need to have our cherished alone time too. I agree with your flying suggestion, motion sickness and little girls do not bode well for the ferry. Blessings.

@ behopeful & all, I don't remember if I've explained this before... yes, my husband and I met here in Canada... he had a 1 yr removal and bought his own ticket and left before the date they gave. We were not married then but in a committed relationship with definite plans for marriage and we have a lot of proof of our relationship and support from family and friends. Of course during that 1 year removal, was when they changed the visa requirement for St. Vincent. That is a very long story that was summarized very quickly. Neither of us were married before and we don't have children so despite the complications of him having to leave in the first place, we're quite confident in our application and are confident that the VO will see that we're the real thing. I knew within weeks of meeting him that he was the one I was meant to spend my life with and he felt the same way-- we just clicked. :) This time has been really hard because of the stress of him having to leave and then taking the time after he left to work out our plans for the future. We really wanted to have our wedding here in Canada on the east coast (where I'm from) and so making the decision to get married in St. Vincent was not one that we took lightly especially because it was really hard for me to agree to get married somewhere that my gramma couldn't be there but unfortunately she passed away while I was down in St. Vincent on my first trip to go see him (I had to cut my trip early and come home for the funeral and say goodbye to my gramma -- that was a really really hard time); my grammas whole life was about family and love and so that triggered me to stop holding out to get married at home on the east coast and just take life by the balls and live it so we got married in St. Vincent in December. We're planning a really nice renewal ceremony and party for when he gets back. There are really important people in my life (extended family and friends) that would have really loved to be there. As it was, it was expensive for my parents and sister to get down there, but I"m so so glad they did, it was a really special day and couldn't have been so without them. OK, you've all broken the seal and now I can't stop talking.
Hi Can-Vinc, thanks for sharing. Must have been so difficult for you. I am glad to hear though that some of your important loved ones made it to ceremony #1. I think many of us are doing more than one ceremony (I will be as well) and I think it is always a nice thing to do to bring families together. Love those east coasters too, they are a special breed, I am sure your gramma would be so proud of you :D Blessings.

Hi FAD, doing well, still recovering - thanks for asking. How are you? Had lots of family here over the weekend and cramming for a job interview next week so I have to "discipline" myself to stay away from the forum and obsessing!! ;D I think we all do it and we all step away sometimes. Which is good. We are all human and when I feel bitter and resentful and "ugly" about this process and cannot say anything nice, I do what my grandmother advised and try to not say anything at all. Which is very hard for me as my husband will confirm. Lol........Blessings.

Hi Miss D. and thanks for the happy vibes, especially knowing you have both a personal and professional understanding of that outcome being great news. Happy vibes back, so glad you are with hubby now, Millslu was right, you were on a flight :D!! Prayers and blessings for your cherished time together - enjoy it - and for your successful exam results. I vote that you and hubby take a trip to POS and give that office a "mash-up" for all of us :p (thanks for updating the spreadsheet as well).

You are required to land in Canada before your med report or passport expires, whichever comes first. They will indicate the exact date on your COPR.

Then your landing date will be the new date of expiration on your medicals. They would have only been extended for one year.

So then you'd have a year to leave and arrive in Canada ..
