I think i will order my notes too like everyone else. I did try looking at other forum pages to see how to do it.
Does my husband have to sign a paper allowing me to request them. Like it seems difficult to order them.

But really it dosent take over 2 months to do research from the interview. Say yes or no, she knows her answer, WHY does it just have to sit in a pile on her desk. Like there is literally zero point of it.
Hi GiGi!
Seems like some business is going on in POS do maybe you will hear something and they weren't impacted too much by the strike.
Ordering the notes seems difficult but isn't that hard. First thing is you have to gets your husbands permission because he is the applicant and it's basically his file and his information you want to release. He is authorizing the notes to be released to you or if you have a lawyer, your lawyer. The form you need is called ATIP. Once you have the form signed, scan it, complete the online request (think I previously posted the link), attach te consent form (scan it to your computer) and finally pay te 5$ by credit card.
I'm sure a decision was made on your file. Actually it was made the same day or the day right after when she wrote her notes on the interview. It's just so frustrating this hasn't been communicated.

Looks like Can-Vinc just got her AOR so hopefully yours is on the way!

Hi Everyone!

First of all, CdnandTrini - Thank God you're doing well! I'm so happy everything went so well and you're on the mend.

Millslu and Gigi, you're on the right track and as frustrating as it must be to wait at this stage, your times are coming.

I have some news, we actually received our AOR yesterday! I was assuming that we wouldn't get one b/c of the consensus that they don't send them all that often and they've been so slow/non-existent lately. But sure enough, the hubby got the email from POS saying we rec'd your application for PR on Jan 21... I think I saw in a previous post that this is indeed the AOR. Still a long road ahead of us, but it is definitely a good feeling that things are proceeding, slowly or not.

For everyone else that I haven't named specifically and those above, I've been quiet b/c this is still fairly early in the process for me so I don't really have a lot to provide in terms of knowledge but I'm here (and my hubz through my updates) and we're supporting you all 100%, just as you are for us. It does mean a lot.
Congrats in the AOR! One step closer! Has your partner been to Canada before? Can't recall if you mentioned that!

Wonderful news! Thank you for sharing Millslu!
I think that a lot of VO's are requesting updated schedule A forms as part of their background checks. I doubt GIGI has been asked yet because she doesn't know the outcome of her interview as of yet! Glad to hear the clarification on POS not actually being on strike. I think the strike mostly impacted the European offices, but GIGI's MP had told her otherwise.

Hi Can-Vinc and thanks for the encouragement & YAY!!!!! You got an AOR, congratulations!! That means POS is alive and kicking and still on the job. Good news for one means good news for all, I'll take any progress as a victory :D! So......their protocol is supposed to be that an AOR goes out 90 days or 3 months after they receive our apps but seems as though yours took 5 months. Wonder if you will see any change in your e-cas? Did you get another file number with the AOR? I believe sometimes this happens as well. I think I am behind you on the spreadsheet so I am hopeful we will get one eventually too. Blessings.

Hi Millslu, yes my hubby actually has a beautiful location on top of a hill and we can see the valleys and it is very picturesque and romantic ;) 2012 was the first time we had ever been able to spend Christmas & New Years together and I must say the fireworks display we saw on New Years from his house was unlike anything I had ever seen before in my life. Spectacular! Thanks for confirming for all of us that the POS folks are not on strike, that is comforting. Blessings.

Hi Behopeful, I am also familiar with the airport area as my husband is tour guide and taxi driver so I have spent many hours in the car with him in that area as well :). Home is home to most of us, no matter how others perceive it. Kingston ON is nice, my niece lives there, good for raising kids. I am in Mississauga, just about 15-20 minutes west of Toronto. Never mind condo living is too small, the prices in Toronto are completely outrageous and I have no idea how young couples can even own property anymore. Maybe when your husband gets here and depending on the job he gets (or your job) you may then consider a move. We never know what good surprises lie around the corner for us! You enjoy the long weekend as well with your girl.

You are absolutely correct CdnandTrini about the prices. I went to school and lived in Toronto for 11 years prior to our move to Kingston this past January. It was a really difficult decision to make without a lot of input from my husband. He just wanted my daughter and I to be ok and we really needed the support and help from my family. He left Canada in September 2012 so I was alone with the baby for a few months prior to the move and it was hard! I took a new job in Kingston when mu maternity leave ended, so I'm thinking this will be our home. I just hope he will adjust. He says he will be fine as long as we are all together again, and afterall Toronto is only a couple hours drive away!

CdnandTrini: have you been to Tobago? I'm assuming you have... Any good suggestions of hotels? Anything we should absolutely do in Tobago? We have not been to Tobago yet. We plan it but time always runs out. If you have been, did you fly or go on the boat? I told my husband we would fly. I get motion sickness and figure it's much faster to fly with our young daughter.

LOL! That's feels much better. I'm sure I'm completely over thinking it. I know he will be fine. He asks me is there this type of restaurant/ food... Sadly the answer is generally no! Anyways we will all survive!

I don't get it. You guys are saying they aren't on strike. But I just called my lawyer. Who hung up on me in frustration cause I was telling him that they are still working. And he said they aren't. And it's still on their website. Am I missing something here? The visa posts are not working. And that is what we are waiting for. So maybe the people answering the phones are the basic administrative staff that they say on the website still has to work? I did receive an email back from them. So again. Basic admin staff? Does anyone know. Or is my lawyer just being a douche
