Few questions for the group...

General question... Should my husband be able to log into E-CAS at this point? Paperwork was submitted in December with sponsor approval and transfer of file in January. Does he log in with the same client ID number and such?

MARLON... Any tips on how your wife was successful getting a visitor VISA? Most people's experience has been to try but are ultimately denied a VISA especially when the person has overstayed previously or they have sponsorship application in.
My husband overstayed his VISA, turned himself into immigration in September and left late September. We were told he may be granted a VISA after a year. I noticied your wife came to visit less then a year. Just inquiring on your thoughts. We have a young child together so I would like him to come back and see her. We will be visiting him soon too. I'm torn in regards to if I should even try and apply for a VISA, given the odds are not in my favour! Any thoughts from the rest of the group?? Is it even worth trying?

first you have to know was your husband removed, meaning was he deported? because if he overstayed they wil give him an order to leave now that is were it gets tricky, did they give him something to sign did they give him a removal order to leave, i think there are 3 removal order,the first order u leave on yur own and u can come back right away(but that open for debate) the other one u bann for a 1 yr and the 3r on you ban for life. to come back in the country you need to submit an ARC.

The UCI number from your sponsor approval will not get you info on your POS application on e-cas. In order to sign into e-cas to see the POS part of your file (applicant) you need a client I.D. For the applicant (or file number). This can be found on your AOR from POS and you need to sign in with the applicants name/DOB etc. If you did not get an AOR from POS yet, you can't sign in. Some people never receive one but have called CIC to ask what their file number is so that they could sign in. Typical wait for AOR (from POS, IF one is sent) is 2 months.

As for visitor visa, we were denied with good proof. As are most people. However. It can't hurt to try. Include proof of your PR application and your young child together and say you would like him to spend time with her. Make sure to state its only for a visit and that he understands he has to leave when his visa expires if his PR is not approved before then. You won't know til you try!

well being he already overstayed when they gave him the visa, it would be difficult right now to get another one even if you have an application, but anything is possible since she has a child with him

Well POS, wanted to pop in here and share the great news. We got Decision Made this past Friday and the Visa is en route back to hubbie for pick up tomorrow.

It's called a ticker and you know if it's working if the time changes on it every day (mine goes up one day every night at midnight to show my processing time increasing)
