You said your address has been changed. Has it been changed from your mailing address to your sponsor's address in Canada?

good morning forum its been a little quiet for past few days, its a good morning, its been one week since my e-cas was gone, woke up this morning and it was back with a little good news, it came back with my address changed and also with application received but this time when i clicked on application received it says medical recieved which it didnt say before, i called my wife aand she told me hers changed as well and it is showing in process as well.

my wife and i are ecstatic about the little changes, i dont know what that means am hoping that someone could share some light on the change.

I also want to know if your address is now changed to your wife's address in canada? If so, that usually means you are almost done!!

sorry it took me awhile to respond, but a few weeks ago my wife and i bought a new house but i was removed before we moved which was on the 15 January 2013. so we email cic and we also tried to change the address on e-cas from our previouse address to our new address.r address in Canada, it went successfully a week before e-cas shut down. so when e-cas came back this morning they removed my sponsor address in Canada and they put my address back here in st.luica.
hey missed am hoping that's it and am on my way so you know you are definatly next.

Oh darn. I thought maybe they gave you a canadian address on e-cas which is usually a good step. Oh well. But you're saying that the SPONSOR'S ecas says in process but yours (the applicant) says application received? Is that what you're saying?

That doesn't make sense to me... The sponsors should say decision made since since she was approved to sponsor you a long time ago. And YOURS (applicant) should be the one that goes into in process since its your part of the ap currently being processed.

Maybe I misunderstood what you wrote. Either way, changes are a sign that something is going on. Hopefully good!

yeh i know its confusing but this is what i notice, my sponsor had to one section showing decision made and that was all the way last year, so now after the e-cas blackout it came back with two section one showing the sponsorship part- instead of decision made which is showed before its now showing in process, and now it has a new section with the applicant, and it saying application received and when u click on that you will see received medicals. lol and then the address on the sponsor application went right back to the old address which we dont have anymore casue she moved in jan 15 2013 and we sent enough info about that move jan18th 2013.

from what am reaading on the forum many ppl who e-cas was down came back up today and many of them saying the same thing, their sponsorship had decision made and they received letters a long time ago, now it is saying in process, so am guessing its a technical problem casue that part of my application was process a long time and we got our letter as well.

Gotcha. That sucks. Seems like no progress then. Since the applicant part is what matters and it is still application received. Bummer. Good that it says meds received though. I would re-update them with your proper address, if the listed one is wrong, because address updates may have been lost in the process.

It sucks. I have a feeling a lot of resources are being used to fix this ecas problem which means less people concentrating on our apps.

well my address was correct but my sponsor/wife address was incorrect. am guessing yes alot of crazy stuff going on right now, but am glad at least we saw a change, some change is better than nothing even though they screwed it up.

nope that is the first time am seeing it saying meds received and trust me i have been looking everyday for the past 6 months.

Oh okay well that is good progress for sure and someone is looking into your file.

I am not sure what it means exactly because mine has been there ever since the first day I could log on to ECAS.

Yes but my hubby did his medicals way before we sent in the app so that could be a reason?
POS is not working on my file yet thats for sure.

Sorry didnt mean to rain on your parade but I am sure yours got inputted in there because they are working on your file

oh yeah my medicals were done all in may before my application was sent in june and i was always wondering if they got it, i was telling my wife am glad they got it now i dont have to do it again unless it expires
