We tried fresh application, it was rejected...
When we were there to discuss in person, the deputy refused to give any written letters. He was pretty rude in fact. we spent at least an hour there.
This is the only proof we were rejected for any further document. I fully intend to submit along with LOE, but unsure if it will suffice.

I guess your case is also bit different due to your wife being gone from country for under 8 weeks at a time. At least in our case, the FRRO officer said the length of her stay abroad (over 8 weeks) is the main reason they wont issue with earlier date.
BUT i hate this feeling of helplessness, because literally we have done everything, but it may not be enough.
I can keep you posted, but we will only hand in our application beginning of August, so it it may take till Sep/Oct to know the outcome.

Its possible you dont need one as you havent spent 6 months at once, but i might be wrong here. Id say be prapared that you may be asked for it. Especially if its not too hard to obtain, better have one handy.

Am a Banking professional and have been getting transfer in three years. I renewed my passport in Jan 2016 when I was posted in Hyderabad. That time my Hyderabad address was mentioned in my passport. Since September 2016 I have been staying in Delhi and now require PCC. I have certain queries as under:

1. Do I need to apply for PCC in Delhi or the address mentioned in Passport?

2. PCC is required for each family member having age above 18 years. How to obtain PCC for each family members. Will single application for entire family to be submitted or individual application is required.

Please respond.

Hello, I posted this question yesterday on another thread, but didn't get any response so trying again here today:

When I turned 18 (October 2004) I was living in Canada on study permit.. I came back to Pakistan in May 2005 for 4 months vacation and then returned to Canada again for 3 months before moving back to Pakistan permanently in December 2005.

Now, I understand RCMP from Canada is not required unless cic asks for it so I'm not getting one upfront... about PCC from Pakistan, should it cover period from 18th birthday (Oct 2004 to date) or skip out period i was in canada? I don't want to mention from October and risk them assuming im misrepresenting myself... :/ I'm also afraid if I don't cover from 18th birthday they might refuse application...

Considering last 10 years, it starts from Jul 2008. I was in south africa from May 2008 to Nov 2008. If I consider my last 10 years, my stay in south africa comes out to be 4 months. In such case, do I require PCC from South Africa? Here, I am talking about my 6 months of my stay in the bracket of last 10 years. After Nov 2008, I did not travel to South Africa

I sent my old pcc(taken with my spouse) with mine, they have sent my file to Indiaaor2.... Done my med,, sent schedule a, got my SA and bgc is in process.... My doubt is does old pcc create problems in my file or will they request for a new one

Count 181 days. But how is may-nov only 4 months?

One person, one application. You will mostly be checked since jan 2016, as you were clear till jan 2016. When in doubt, better apply at passport seva kendra

Dont call it a problem. It is a requirement. If they require a latest, they will request for it, why do you see it as a problem? If you have no crime against you, just apply for a new one. The rule is for 6 months, so you are taking a chance, they follow the rules. They are not your enemy.
