This is incorrect. PCC not required for kids under 18. Only medicals are required for them.

I received my ITA on April 12th and I am in Saudi for a short assignment of 10-12 weeks.

I am here on a work visit visa due to which the embassy here says that I need to apply for a PCC back in India. This means that I will have to travel to India twice - one for initiating the PCC at the Passport office and then again for the background police verification so that they are sure that I stay in India and I am in the one applying for the PCC.

Is there a work out around this or has someone faced a similar situation. Need your help.

hi All, I am also an FSW Express Entry aspirant, my question is, do we need the PCC from the local Police or do we need the PCC from the passport office?
I ask because there are multiple versions of the answer on the Forums with no clarity.

You can get it from both the places. If you have lived in the same city from 18 years age till now, local police station will do. However, if you have lived in multiple cities, get it from passport office. Passport office's procedure is simple. I got it from there.

Yes, this is the link from which you apply for UK PCC and this will be enough. They will send it to your address in Canada via mail or courier (depending on which service you choose).

Looks ok to me. I got my UK PPC a few months back. It was posted to my current address (outside UK) through international airmail.
