Hello

I applied for PR for my wife (from Inside Canada) who is in Canada with me on a visitor visa. She lived in States for 3 months, however we are asked to provide police clearance certificate from US.
We have sent the finger printing to FBI almost 45 days ago. We haven't heard anything yet. Any idea how long the process takes ?
also
My wife's visitor visa will expire in April 2017. Can I apply for visitor visa extension ?

thank you guys!

My wife contacted an Ottawa based company named "Reliability Screening" (http://reliabilityscreening.ca/international/ ) and the company took her digital fingerprint. Within 24 hours she got soft copy her FBI PCC!!!!!!!! They took CAD 200 for the service. However, I dont know how it is even possible to get result like this???? My wife is not even American citizen then how can a third party can process so fast? I am still trying to find whether it will work or not. You can talk to them but I dont know it will work or not.

Whatever your wife got from this company, it is NOT an FBI PCC. They are also not on the list of FBI-approved channelers, and CIC does not accept channelers anyway.

https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/compact-council/list-of-approved-channelers

Last time I checked, it takes about 13 weeks to get an FBI PCC.

Thanks. I have decided to call FBI. Lets see. However, I think IRCC now accept "approved" channeler. here is the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

We contacted Reliability Screening Solutions Inc. http://reliabilityscreening.ca/international/
1025 Richmond Road, Suite 107
Ottawa ON K2B 8G8
Canada

They said, they have done the process through TRP Associations, LLC dba ID Solutions
www.trpassociates.net which is in the FBI approved channelers list https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/compact-council/list-of-approved-channelers.

However, we are trying to verify that. We will call FBI and TRP both to make sure.

Hello, am new to this forum and must say i find it very helpful reading through comments and experiences. I was given 90days to submit my FBI PCC. Am currently in the US. My request got to the FBi on the 27th of september. I rather had a money order not a check. I called to check on the status of my request on the 9th of Nov which made 6 weeks i was told they currently finalizing applications received on september 19th. So applications received by 27th sept wld be finalized in 2 weeks time.

So if you made a request at this time , lets just be patient and hope things work out fast.

Still am anxious.

If a non-US citizen or pr used the channelers, will CIC accept the results?
I think channelers are accepted for just PR and citizens of the US as per the FBI website. Am a non-citizen of the US and after a call, i learned using a channeler wasnt approved.

Anyone on the forum who has used such expedited service for non-US citizens and got their police clearance approved by CIC?

Hi! I need some help on getting my finger prints done to get PCC from the US. I live in a place called Moncton in Canada. Do any one of you or your friends know the procedure please?
