Yes, but my point is not what happens if you are still working there. It's what happens if you are not working there anymore and you called BCPNP.
In basically any case I heard about, even with employer restriction, they at least leave you a couple of months to find another job. So my question is what happen in those months.
If they stop the application until you find something or not.
And from the experience of the user here apparently not. If you called BCPNP and they know that you are not working there anymore and you are looking for another job, there's nothing to check or control. This is what I'm trying to understand.
I'm saying this because my case is particular. I opened a small company 1 year ago and in theory I don't need to work at my "day job" anymore. I'm there only for the nomination. Now is becoming a problem because the company is growing and I literally don't have time to do both. We are 3 associate so we don't have employees (so it doesn't count as a "job" in theory) but is pretty ridiculous that I have to say no to a big client because my application is in process forever and the rule is that I can't leave the other company.
That's a difficult question to answer but based on what BCPNP and IRCC informed me, the PR process still continues as the applicant searches for another job. However, if the nomination is employer restricted and the applicant is terminated
with cause, IRCC conducts its investigation which affects the PR process. On the contrary, if the applicant was terminated
without cause, the PR process continues. Also take note this was last year and with the Pandemic, there was a level of flexibility from both authorities. Back to what I said earlier, communication. You just may never know what their reaction will be. When I contacted BCPNP to explain my situation, they were surprisingly very understanding.
I get your question, what happens in that window between unemployment/self employment and completion of the PR process. How about shooting BCPNP an email with a hypothetical question, on what happens if an applicant voluntarily leaves their job due to ????
