No processing time is same as before. It’s only for people who haven’t applied yet . We already applied so we don’t have much benifit from this .
Those that mean that for those who have not received AOR should submit this.
Who are the people eligible for the new procedure

Received reply today against webform submitted on March 19, 2020 regarding Biometrics Request

Good day, Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. We verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process. All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment. Due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only. We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible. Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed. Furthermore, please note that there are two ways you can check your application status online. You can verify the status of your application: Submitted by mail (if it was not linked to an online account): by using the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) online tool, which is updated daily. Submitted online or submitted by mail and linked to an online account: through your online account. We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.
Unfortunately with temporary file number we cannot link our our account with e-Client if I am correct

Guys why all of you are so negative about IRCC we should be all thankful.

It means THEY WILL STOP getting more paper to pile up on their desks. Therefore Whatever Paper left there will be take care of.

Sometimes we need a wake up call and be reminded that Canada is a great country to Immigrate and people need to be patient and stop whining so much.

Look at the Canada's neighbor. Please let focus what's important and let They work
Do u live in Canada?

Let the truth be told, it is a shame the Canadian Government for hiding under the Global pandemic as an excuse for delay in the processing time.

Assuming the IRCC workers were paid hourly rate as done in several organisations, we wouldn't be having this issue because they will know that if they don't come to work, they wouldn't be paid.

Many essential organisation such as groceries and other necessities which are client facing are working effectively and not complaining of the pandemic not to talk of IRCC officers in Sydney, Nova Scotia who are not client facing, what excuse do they have to give of not working to speed. In my Opinion Immigration application is essentials because many lives', families and etc are at hold because of the delay.

All IRCC ought to do is to ensure a proper screening test is perform daily or result generated from the apps to allow staff come to work.

All I can say that is a proper lackadaisical attitude at the detriment of Immigrants from IRCC which needs to be investigated.

Other countries, like UK, Australia and many more do have respect for immigrants and never treat immigrants the way IRCC is actually treating various application. They keep opening series of rules absorbing many more to meet their budget quota while thousands are pending over the last three years.

The painful thing for in landers working in Canada is that, the Citizen requirement ought to start from the date of AR and not the date of PR issued, then may immigrant would be rest assured that if it takes IRCC three years to process the PR due to their inefficiencies, then the immigrants should not suffer the consequences.

The system has failed woefully, with low staff processing millions of application, admitting more and generating revenue when unfortunately some immigrants have died in the cause of waiting for PR to be issued due to anxiety, stress and trauma to Immigrants.

My question is why admitting more, when they have thousands of backlog to clear for the past 4 to 5 years waiting endlessly.

I am sorry, I do disagree with you. Canada is a great counrty though laidback which they refuse to accept and don't like change.
There ought to be a reform on the way immigrants application are treated.

So , i got a question for you. While applying for your own PR Application did u asked the IRCC before hand how many Applications are pending Approval? For sure "No" .All you did was you applied under which ever program you find yourself suitable for .Secondly, how would you have felt when IRCC have returned your file stating that they can't process your file due to a backlog. Then people like you would have still barked that you have same qualification and experience like previous Applicant but still need to wait.If you don't like Canada then you can book a one way ticket to your Home Country and do soemthing better rather then waiting here
