Guys need one input on urgent basis. I was asked to provide school record document having my date of birth ,father name and my name.
I do have the required document but it is laminated. Now my lawyer saying cic don't accept laminated document as Orignal ( that's Weird), So is any one went to similar situation or submitted laminated document to cic and those there were accepted without any issue raised from CIC.

Please let me know if anyone had such experience ...plz bcoz its very common that we laminate the imp documents
 
sometimes they give correct information ... even i called them last week and they said me to wait...so it varies from agent to agent...

you dont need to send original. just send photo
copy with notary. they clearly mentioned only
pcc need to b submit original. rest of all copies.
have a look on check list as well.

Had you included your PCC in your first application?

They clearly mentioned in note section : ·
Original documents must be received by mail. Notarized documents are not acceptable in lieu of original documents. :(

i never heard they ask school or educational
docs in original one. my lawyer told me
pcc and translator affidavit only need to send
original.well ask here to some more ppl and
best is call to cic for your question. good luck

It is said in the note section..that could be a general statement about the original documents like pcc.. It may not be applicable to you..cic usually does not ask for any originals...

I'm happy to inform you that I am done. I became a permanent resident on Monday. Here's a short timeline:

Applied for SINP: 2014-01-24
SINP nomination received: 2014-08-28
Permanent residence application sent to Centralized Intake Office, Sydney, NS: 2014-11-05
Application received: 2014-11-12
Moved to Canada on a work permit and established residency in Canada in December 2014
AOR received: 2015-04-20
Medical request: 2015-06-17 (done a week later and updated online within a week)
COPR received in regular mail on my Canadian address: 2015-07-27 (online status changed to "Decision made" around 10 days before that)
Landed (flagpolled): 2015-07-27

I paid all my fees in advance when I submitted my PR application and I am from a visa-exempt country.

I wish you all the best and good luck with your applications.

i just checked ecas...it wasnt like that yesterday..but it says theyre processeing it july 27.

when do u think is the passport request? just wondering!
