Hey man, I'm from Colombia as well, did you ever got that part figured out, I'm still waiting for instructions to apply for PCC and I don't really know what to do as it's been 3 months already since I submitted my Medicals and they've been received, I would highly appreciate any information; thanks in advance.

i called CIC couple of weeks ago ... i am november applicant and my application was received on 18 nov.. when i called them they said its in processing but its not updated on Ecas...i think we guys should don't consider ecas as they r not updating it as they are processing.

Awesome! I paid my RPRF the same day I got the request. So we pretty much have exactly the same timeline... maybe that means we have the same case processing agent.

They only ask for PCC if they need it. They typically need it if you have lived outside of Canada for over six months after the age of 18 - but they dont need it all the time, so you might be lucky and they wont ask it of you. I know some people who were unlucky and even though they were only out of the country for two months, they were asked for PCC.

Hopefully we get super lucky and they switch us to DM without IP or requesting an interview...

@madboleyn - yeah lets hope so. Except I did live in the UK for a few years. So I think it's unlikely that they won't ask for it. It seems to be complete potluck with CIC - I just keep my fingers crossed.

Hi Pardeep, how did you find out it's in process? What did you say? I called CIC and they said they no longer access the information if the processing time has not exceeded the average processing time. So the agent just sent me a generic email about checking on ECAS.

I am Nov 20th Applicatn. My ECAS shows on Application received up until now. I have contacted CIC several time. The last email I received from them said that they are forwarding my request to the responsible office and also told me that my file is awaiting review by the office. I dont know what exactly the status of my application is.

I have heard from multiple people on multiple occasions that you often get a different story when you get a call centre agent willing to discuss the case and what ECAS shows, so it sounds like ECAS is quite unreliable.

Cic website itself told that some user experience problem with ecas so don't worry guys.
