But what do we actually need to do here? I had already submitted all the information with my initial application. Should I get all the police clearance certificates again? do I need to get Canadian PCC (As I am in-land applicant). It is clearly mentioned in the PR application instructions that you do not need to submit PCC for Canada if you live here. All this is so confusing.

If u submitted all the stuff required, that's fine. Let's just wait and see, FYI, I am a Nov 3rd applicant.

Ok thanks a lot. I was just a bit worried cuz it said missing schedule a information as I did submit that form with my application and it was correctly filled. I am gonna pay my rprf today and go from there. Im nov 18 applicant just in case people wanna know. Thanks

So you are not gonna bother about sending in your passport copies and PCC and Schedule A. let me give them a call.

I got the exact same email this morning. I am Nov 20th applicant. The email is very confusing. It does Mention "passport" on the requirements but then later they say "Do not send original until requested by CIC". what does that mean? See below:

"PASSPORTS

Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be valid at the time of visa issuance. If your passports have expired or will be expiring within the next 6 months, you must apply for new passports as soon as possible. You can send a Copy of the Biodata Page (page with photograph and name) to the following addresses below.

Do not send Original Passports until requested By CIC.

When does ur passport actually expires? it would make sense if the date is close, could you share?

I just just got the same email. If I am currently living in Canada, I don't have to submit PCC for CANADA, right?

I just got the same letter. I'll take it as a que to pay the landing fee. Plus my son's passport has expired, so I'll send a copy of the new one. I already sent all the other stuff, so I'm not going to resend as the letter clearly says to send what applies.

My passport expires 10 Years from now. And my spouse's passport expires in 1 year.

What I think the possibility could be: is that they might have sent this email to people who they think have incomplete application status. e.g. my ECAS Status only show 1 line saying " application received" and nothing else, no medical received line. The reason I say that is because I did not submit my daughter's medical alongwith ours as she is already citizen. but they asked for her medical. So I am assuming that they sent a generic email to all people they think have not sent all the information.

Please advise what your ECAS Status is as of now.

Yes that is correct. According to PR Application information booklet, we dont need to. see below:

Police certificates

You and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens must provide:

valid police certificate, or
police clearance, or
record of no information.
These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six (6) consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

I dont know if I am wrong or if you guys are wrong. The email that a lot of people got today is a bit confusing but it clearly says that if your passport is expiring within 6 months then you have to renew it and then send a copy to cic. About pcc if you have not already done then send them the original pcc. For schedule A it says if you have left gaps and they do not cover the entire period then send them the new schedule A form. This what I understood from the email. Again I am saying I could be wrong so dont jump onto conclusions and write negative comments. Thanks

That's what I understand from it.But I am really confused about this reminder email from CIC today with all those documents request. Everyone has their own views some people are saying to ignore it completed as I submit everything when I submit my application while some people advised me to send explanation letter . Can anyone help here and direct what to do ?

Hi all,
I am August applicant and waiting for PPR these days. Here is my opinion if anyone interested.

RPRF - you have to pay it and there is no big deal about the topic.
PCC - me and my wife submitted police clearance letter (no conviction, etc) from home country translated by official translator in BC. CIC asked Canadian PCC for my wife only and we did it, it is RCMP Certified police criminal record check + fingerprints - it is submitted.
Schedule A - they asked us to update Schedule A because there is a GAP since our application is submitted to BC PNP program, so since Nov 2014. There is only one year to update, so no big deal.

CIC put applications in process after full 9 months. I still do not understand why do they need so long time delay.
