Dont be sad bud, I am in the same boat. Nov 20 Applicant (inland - NS) ECAS only shows application received. Received a reply to my inquiry yesterday that mentioned that my file has been forwarded to an appropriate person for review regarding the issue of my daughter's medical (Medical was wrongly sent for a canadian citizen by them). So I guess its not with the agent, its with someone else who is going to remove my daughters name from the system after reviewing my file and then its gonna go to the agent. I dont know if that gonna further delay the process or not. It was a big mistake to mention the name of my already Canadian citizen daughter on my applicaiton.
How you inquir about case? They won't answer if application has not pass 15 month processing time.

I just learned that my file was transferred to Ottawa on Aug 28 for further review. That was the date when my ecas turned to 5 lines from 3 lines. The agent said for further processing. What do you think? I am worried.

The did the same with me... Nothing to worry about... Dome of december 2013 applicants were transfered to Ottawa for fuerther review... It came back as Sydney was too busy and shared some of the load with Ottawa, that has more agents to process.

Probably they are going to ask CSIS to conduct a more extensive background check on you... That could delay the processing time of your application; but that is not a rule. Probably you would be processed faster, Im sure of it.

My case was very complicated because of divorce, military service and employment insurance claim... At the end, after 22 months, they approved it. Nothing to worry about

Rmshu ,
I hope so. OMG.
Dean, yes I called CIC and I just said I am going to update my application and I need to send changes( just an alibi to know where my file is). The agent told me finally. Gave me the address of cpc ottawa

Who issues the PPR mail? Sydney or Ottawa?

PPR email received today at 19:41 hours Alberta time... Good luck to everyone else...!!!

I've always seen its CPC-Ottawa... Because they finalize the files... But I might be wrong, tho. Never heard someone received PPR from Sydney.

Chill out, bro... Enjoy the time; even more you look forward to it with anxiety, more you will torture and hurt yourself... There was a point in the 22 months, that I was checking 7 times a day my ecas status... When I stop caring and began to check every week, I got it, lol... You'll be fine my friend, it will come... If they gave it to me, that I even lied in the forms... They will give it to you.

Rrimshu

Thanks for encouraging words. Yeah I take it as positive response to my application.

6 lines is a good thing. it is progress. I went through the same. I was in IP from July 20th to Sept 17th. - Almost 2 months.

Where you asked to send additional documents ?

Yes, they asked me to addtional doc on july 17 related to school record to support for my DOB..
So in ur case when six line showed up , was the status IP for few days and then changed to DM within 2-3 days ?

Here's my theory....if CIC requests documents that demands reviewing the originals (not fax, or emailed copy) like PPC, Birth certificate etc, your application can be delayed up to 60 days (typical deadline you're given to submit a requested document). The reason is...it appears the case processing officer sends out the document request and sets a reminder to come back and check at the end of the deadline he / she gave you. So it could be sitting there in your file but case officer may not check your file prior to the deadline, he / she may be working through other files that are complete. When your deadline is reached, he / she checks and then you should get DM within 7 days of the deadline expiry. There's another verified part to this....When I sent in my PPC, it arrived July 10th, I called CIC July 30th and aslo sent an email. I received an email that my documents have been received, and it takes between 4 - 6 weeks for the PPC to go through mail in take, into my file. It took 5 week for me to go from IP to 6 lines.

In summary, when your lines are updated in ecas, I believe your DOB / birth certificate document has been received and entered into your file, BUT your case processing officer may not have reviewed it. the moment he / she reviews it then you'll go to DM. So from updated ecas lines to DM - the maximum time is the deadline you were given to mail a document in + 7 days. In some cases, another case processing officer may not wait till the end of the deadline he/ she game to check on your file to see if the document has been mailed in. In this case Updated Ecas lines to DM could be a few days (2 - 3 days, same as for those that only have to update schedule A or RPRF). This same pattern is seen in express entry
