Officially,CIC website saying 18-months. Unofficially, 70% applicants getting PPR in 16-months.

Source of 16-months timeline: my friends & analysising data inputs from canada visa forum members

The 18 month period should not be just a random index identified by CIC. They perhaps consider an average trend based on the total number of the applicants. Instead, your 16 month index is just based on a small number of applicants; not to mention, you're talking about only %70 of this small sample to draw this conclusion. After all, wish you're right, and the 16 month is the actual one for all of us

Hi guys,
I am inland applicants and I applied on January 2017 and I added my wife on September 2017. My wife live back home, and if I receive a PPR, is it going to be for me and my wife? or we will get PPR in separate time? also, I am going to send mine to Ottawa and she will send her passport to UAE embassy, do you know what is the process time for UAE, is it one week like her?

Counting the time of my nomination (at a cost of 1500) plus the PR Process I will have waited for 28 months. CBC needs to run stories on some of us. lol
:(

Well, I already submitted one with the application and its said the expiration was in 3 months so I guess they need a new one maybe?!.. MyCIC account shows replacement needed. I have applied for a new one lest see what happens, will keep posted
Dear Friend,
For PR Application Police Clearance Certificate hard copy is must. It is not about 3 Months expiry. One PCC hard copy is enough to finish complete PR Application processing. (PR - Provincial Nominee is 18 Months as per CIC Website)
All the best for your application.

Dear Friend,
You and your spouse will receive your PPR at the same time. Not Separate.
Based on my knowledge send both of your passport to Ottawa to finish the processing more faster. She can send her passport to you by DHL Courier or Emiraes Post, You will receive the package within 6 Days. After you received her passport then you can send both of your Passport to Ottawa.
Did she receive her medical request? and when & Medical Request letter from where? Canada or UAE?
All the best for your application.
I am just a little confused...i herd from a friend you are not allowed to send passport in mail from another country?
i thought they have to submit in the canadian embassy of the country they live in...
because i have the same situation
can i ask my husband to send his passport to me via mail is it legal?

As per my knowledge, sending passport to outside your country of residence is illegal.

No courier companies will accept passport to outside of country. Courier companies only deliver passports to embassies or consulates.

Actually it is not illegal. My wife and son sent their passport from manila to calgary via fedex. You just have to declare that what you are sending is your passport. In fact fedex will even check what you are sending and they'll indicate that it is passport

Jan 6 here too. The last time they worked on my application was April 16th. Nothing after that. Frustrating.
