Hi,
I applied pr in December 2016, but one of my files was missing. I applied again in February 2017. My application was received in February. AOR was received in April. PRRF was in June. Upfront ME was done in November and passed in December. One more form was requested which I resubmitted yesterday. I also got my pre-arrival services form in December. So I wonder when I can get PPR? Thx a lot. AINP inland application

I am going to apply for PNP NS in Jan 2018 but do not know when the website is open for applying. Can you please advise how to track it?

Hello all,

I received my RPRF request followed by invitation to pre-arrival services on October 26. My background status did not change. It still reads, "we are processing your background check". I see that most people see it being changed to N/A after letter about pre-arrival services.
Is there anyone else in the same situation or just me?

Hi all,

Applied Jan 2017
AOR March 2017
Police Verification Request June 2017

Applied under AINP Skilled Worker.

But I lost my job in Agust and I'm on closed work permit. I don't know if I'll loose my application. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Hi. Sorry to hear that. For example, here in Saskatchewan there is an option for situations like that : if you lose your job and are already in process for PR, you can find new employer (within 3 months after you lost your job) who will take over your application. This whole thing is not complicated... Basically you just need new job offer letter from him and it has to be the same NOC code.

But I am not sure if AINP has the same thing.
:(

Anyway, if I were you, I would probably go to the AINP office (if they have one), explained my situation and asked them what has to be done so that my PR application won't be rejected. ;)

Hi karan gulati,

You can go for upfront medical if you want, is a personal decision. I know from other forums that they recommend that if you do upfront, you should do it at least 5 or 6 months after your AOR, since the medical exam is valid for 1 year that way they will not expire before you get your PPR.

To be honest I cannot say that it will speed up the process but there is also no issue in doing it if you want to do it. What I've seen seen in other forums is that if your medicals are already in the system by the time the officer is going to request medical exams it it should be in theory "faster", at least for the medical part, but to be honest there are no guarantees that doing upfront medicals will significantly speed up your application.

Hello Marty_Mcfly! I find your posts very informative. Thanks for helping out others. I had question about upfront medicals. I did mine yesterday and the doctor said he would upload results by Wed next week. In the mean time, would you recommend me uploading UMI sheets they provided through CSE or wait for doc to upload first?

My application was received on march 6 2017
AOR-1st may 2017
I am now wondering if i would like to send medical upfront now what are the steps i should take..
do i just go to the doctor and ask for a medical exam
or do they need a official letter from cic
Thanks.

An Email Will send to you by respective VO for medical.
:)

I was thinking to get it done before their request....upfront medical....just little confused if i can send them at this stage of application without their request..

Hope this January we will have an update... it's been almost a year now. Hope it will not take us 18 months for PPR. In the other group some of them are on their 21st month of waiting and some got PPR in just 16 months but mostly they waited 18 months for PPR

Hi vpkasbek,

Sorry for the late reply, if I remember correctly I sent my UMI sheets after the doctor uploaded the results. After that, CIC took aprox. 2 weeks to show "Medical Exams: Passed" in MyCIC account.

Hope it helps,

Probably it is because of the holidays. But, one think that you can do is give them a call and ask them if they have received your Medical Test results. With mine, I remember I gave them a call after the doctor submitted the results and they confirmed that they had received the results, as far as I know they will not tell you if the medicals are passed or not over the phone but they can confirm that they have received the results for an specific UMI#. You can also ask them if the UMI# is attached to your specific PR application #.

Also, it is important the when you submit your UMI sheets through CSE that you tell them that you want to attach the submitted results to your specific PR application # (Probably you already did this).

But what I can recommend is just give them a call and verify.

Thanks for your suggestions. I raised a CSE asking them to associate UMIs to my application and even got response on my CSE 2 days ago that they have supplied info to VO. I will definitely give them a call.
