My PP was delivered on July, 10 and it is not approved yet. CIC is so slow...Did you call them? Like, they told me that PP was received on JULY, 10 but they did not open it untill July 20.

I am expecting to hear something from them on the next week. They can not hold it forever!!!

They have my passport since the 7th of July, and still waiting. I'm not sure if that is normal?

It is not normal, but it is what it is.

Like you can check this w.page and compare the processing times. I can see that majority of applicants 28 June -6 July have already got their passports back. Your and my turn will be next.

Is there a compiled tracker for people's processing timeline from cic stage to finish? I remember there was one going around at some point but can't seem to find it anymore.

Application for Permanent resident (PNC) received on April 6, 2016, email notification received on 11May16. Medical approved, associated fees paid. Recently got my BG check updated to in progress. I have travel plans for training purpose in September and I notified CIC and received confirmation that they noted it. I don't believe I will get my PR card at hand before Sept 14 with all the process remaining.
