We should stop blaming CIC staff though. Calling them through call center will only delay the whole process, it is proven that you wont get anything from calling them directly.Given around 300000 accepted permanent residence a year (not including rejected applications, visa, work permit, citizenship, etc.) , they are processing at the rate of 1000 PR applications a day. Assuming an application requires 1 hour to finish scrutiny, it is 1000 hours per days, or 125 visa officers working 8 hours a day.

Ur right. But thats the reason people pay lot of money..they need to increase staff and speed up process which they mentioned of doing while increasing fee
And call centre can only see what we see on ecas...they are just to let us know updates same what we see.
They should increase officers who work on files

Yah.. it is a bit strange that even eligibility has not approved yet.. I am June 2016 applicant, and it shows approved.

Me march and every thing passed by jan except security. May be they are waiting fbi or cia to show up

I would be happy to hear that FBI or CIA is making "progress" in my background checking, than "not applicable"

Yup it is not in the mailbox.... where the heck is my document... on the canada post website, it says it has been delievered to the community mailbox last monday.... and ive talked to the regional canada post office supervisor and all she said she could do is call the carrier and find out. Ive got a phone call that it is placed back inthe mailbox and i went back to check and it is still not there.... where is it... damn it

Assessments:
Eligibility: In Progress
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Not Started
Medical: Passed

Paper File:
Office: New Delhi
Location: ECU-PA

Do you guys have any idea what does "Location: ECU-PA" means?

I have ordered one gcms note ,it shows that location was registry......did ur friend send an email to Delhi visa office? Its already 16 monthes over.....

Yeah, That is the worst part, which is the government's policy to be blamed. They allocate more officers to resolve EE cases. The rest of the officers cannot handle the huge remaining applications...

The 16 months is not acceptable provided we know that
1. They take one Friday off in every two weeks.
2. How many 'hard working' officers VS how many 'talking' managers in CIC ?
