You need to have Offer of Employment Number from Employer to apply for Closed work permit or employer specific work permit. You dont need LMIA to get closed work permit. Actually on application, type of work permit would be mentioned as LMIA exemption work permit

What did they refuse your BOWP application . Bcoz of not having AOR ?

Hi Thanks for the reply,

what is a offer Employment number?? can you eloborate? is it different from the offer letter that we generally get when you get a job??

they refused my BOWP application bcz of not having a AOR.

Hi guys,

I have submitted RCMP criminal record through case specific enquiry after receiving the remainder email last month. Today I received an email asking for RCMP record again. Should we send the original record to CIO in Sydney? Thanks

Congrats !!, after your medical, how long it took to update on CIC online status?
I'm having an immigration consultant who filed my application, saying that, he has the access to see the progress of my application.

I got the same thing earlier, and I think the problem was that they issued me a request before my earlier submission was processed.
Did you get the email receipt for your last submission? and how old is the certificate?

As for the employer compliance fee, I just took the receipt. It wasn't done thru the employer portal. I don't think it matters to them who paid it, because they were just looking for an authorization number in the receipt.
Thanks Bro.

There are couple possible theories:

1. Different department.
Each dept reviews different part of your application. Since you're already in background check process, you'd been done your eligibility check. Adding spouse/dependent may need to go backward to the dept which takes care of eligibility.

2. Officer's mistake
An officer may understand your update wrong, and guessing your spouse is not accompanying. Check GCMS note to see what your marriage status looks like in their file. If it's single or so, indeed it's not been updated. If it's married but no application updated, then it's highly possible that the officer made a mistake.

3. Just matter of time
We all know how bloody slow their process is. It may just need some more time. How long? only God knows.

It has to be mailed my friend. It says so in your correspondence, and it gave you two options by which to mail it. :)
