Hi Druce,
The Pretoria visa office seems to be the slowest of them all. I know they service 11 countries but their pace is shockingly slow.
Anyway we must keep the faith in the Almighty. His time is the best.

Hi Sambaj! thank you for sharing!

does your work permit support letter said something like " This letter is to facilitate the issuance of an LMIA-exempt work permit pursuant to Annex A:" ?? i'm trying to extend my work permit but i don't know which category should i apply under. my current PGWP is about to expire in June. I don't know if i should apply for extend work permit( open-permit) or new work permit (open-permit) or BOWP. its so confusing... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hi Starb

Yes it does say that on the work permit supporting letter. All what you need to do if you still with the same employer is to go to the border with that supporting letter, employer compliance fee receipt, current pgwp and your passport. That is all what I took and I got my post grad work permit extended for a year. at the time when I went to the border, I still didn't received the AOR yet which I thought it may be an issue but it turned out fine. The good thing about going to the border is you get it right away and if there is something missing they tell you on the spot.
