Hey buddy,

To extend your work permit, there are many ways.

i) you can get supporting letter from you pnp officer to extend your work permit. Apply for for work permit extension with supporting letter. Write cover letter in such a way, you got your PNP and it helps you to prove that, you have more chances of getting PR.

ii) Flag polling - Go to your closest US border. Tell them that you are there for flag polling. Tell them that, you got your PNP nomination and applied for PR. PR process might take longer than your work permit validity. Immigration officer will look at you PNP nomination/approval letter, your employer full time offer letter, your last four months pay slips and employer reference letter (optional). If immigration officer thinks, your work permit he/she can extend on that day; they will ask you to go into US for 1 mile and come back. You can take a short walk. On your way back to Canada, same officer will give you 18 moths extension of your work permit. for example: if you have 2 months validity work permit, he/she will give 2 months+18 months. If you have AOR and if you go for flag polling with AOR and all the documentation, you might get two years work permit extension.

With flag polling, different people has different experience. Some people got extension, some are not. It all depends upon immigration officer and his/her mood. We have to prove that our profile is legitimate and we will get PR for sure. If officer doesn't feel confident, he will ask you to go for option (i). Look for flag polling more.

Thanks.

From my experience:

1. if you DO NOT have AOR your employer MUST apply online for employment offer and pay cad 230 fee. You will use the number generated after online payment and once your application for wp extension is approved get closed wp.

2. if you HAVE AOR just apply for wp extension and you will get open wp.

Any update for AOR??

apply on Jan 19, CIC charged app fee yesterday

I got Nomination letter from Saskatchewan on 25 Dec 2015 and got ITA on 6 Jan. Submitted my application on 2 Mar 2016

Review of Eligiblity: Review in Progress
Medical: Passed
Review of submitted documents: Provided
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not Started
Final decision Not Started

Paid the PR Visa and RFPR Fees.

Wanted if someone got a ITA around the same time and what is their status?

Also had a question, if I want to resign from existing company and join another company will it create any problem in my Visa application.

Thanks

You can only apply BOWP if your PNP is not restricted for a employer.

You can only do it after receiving AOR or else you will be rejected.

Although there are people saying you can send paper app for BOWP before AOR to get into implied status. If you time it right, you will get AOR by the time a CPC-Vegreville officer process your file and will be accepted. I have no experience in that.

Hi all,

Im not sure if this is the right place, but i wanted to know the steps for PR after i receive a nomination from ontario.

Should i have to get all background verification done before submitting the application? Its going to take considerable time im thinking. Any other things which can delay? Also, can i submit the application without police certificate and send it to CIC once i receive my police clearance certificate?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Aadi

Hello,

Hope you are fine. I have some questions that I hope you will help me in giving correct answers to them.

I have applied under Skilled Workers Overseas stream. My occupation that I found in the list of NOC 2006/NOC 2011 is Software Engineer and Designer (2173) after which I suppose that my occupation is regulated, am I right? Please tell me what will be the appropriate answer of the following questions:

> If your occupation is regulated, what steps will you take to meet the requirements for working in this occupation in Manitoba?

Help is needed...

> If your occupation is regulated, can you start the licensing process before you arrive? Yes or No

I guess the Answer: Not applicable

> If your occupation is regulated, in what related, non-regulated occupations could you find skilled employment in Manitoba based on your training and work experience?

Help is needed...

> If your occupation is not regulated, what steps will you take before you arrive in Manitoba to ensure you find skilled employment soon after arriving in Manitoba?

I guess the Answer: Not applicable

I will appreciate your help.

Regards,

Noor
