Does anyone have they Background check changed to "In progress"?

Not me. Did anyone else get anything? I have ordered a new set of GCMS notes on Jan 18. Hopefully they are here by end of February.

Hello, I submitted it through case specific and the last time I called CIC that was last year I was told they received it

please double check your MYCIC account and go to view submitted application and you can upload your requested document there after that the status will be changed to Provided...

that's what I did... I submitted it to CSE, MYCIC and I even mailed it to them to ensure they will receive it...

I think they are still processing OCT NOV and DEC applicants

They slowed down again.. what i dont get it.. if you have so many paper based applicants why not clear them out instead of just focusing on Express Entry Candidates if not completely but to a point where the wait seems more reasonable.. i think we will get our request's either by June and probably PR by years end at this pace if they continue like that

It would piss me off and depress me at the same time if I got my PR at the end of the year. It would just be ridiculous at that point. There are people like me who would like to leave their positions right now but they can't because CIC is taking forever to process their applications.

I wonder if the Syrian refugee crisis has anything to do with the slow pace. I know people from 2014 who received their PR 8 months after submitting their applications.

If we r seeing number 4 in our application status is that means they sent medical request? I have this information in my file status for quite a while.... I didn't receive any letter nor the email for anything for medical...

They were asking about Schedule a form in last December and i have already provided...

Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

This is in my status... i want to add here that same date they told in this status (16 December) i got the email to update newly filled schedule a form 2nd time ...so my confusion is that this could be for that request for Schedule a or it could be a medical request for that I didn't receive anything no email no letter...? ?

i don't think you can directly contact them apart from that 1-888-242-2100 number. If the said period of processing time has passed then they will give you a some sort of answer to your questions otherwise all they say is wait. Otherwise you can also order GCMS notes which has the immigration officer notes on it . http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp there are 2 ways pay $5 and receive it a little faster or dont pay anything and wait 30 days.

the number 4 line is when they sent an email reminder to pay our landing fee (RPRF) update our schdule A, provide PCC
ther was no line added when i received my medical instructions.

medical recieved line is only added in my opinion when medical is set to passed..
