Hi everyone!
September 2015 applicants, AOR 2nd of December.

Got an e-mail from CIC today:
THIS IS A REMINDER EMAIL - PLEASE READ EACH SECTION CAREFULLY TO SEE IF IT APPLIES TO YOUR APPLICATION (...)
PASSPORTS
(...)
POLICE CERTIFICATES
(...)
MISSING SCHEDULE A INFORMATION
(...)
RIGHT OF PERMANENT RESIDENT FEE (RPRF)
(...)

We are in Canada 3 years exactly, they didn't extend our working visas to a bridging ones so since 5th of April we are a 6-month visitors (but that is a completely different story & drama!).

We got clearance certs from our country's just before we left, so they are dated in march 2013.
We rang police department in Calgary, they said they never did or even were not asked for certs like that!

Should we get new (up to date) clearances from our countries (although we didn't leave Canada since they were issued)? Should we get ones from Canada? How would you get them, if yes?

The "lovely & helpful" Call Center lady said, in our situation we don't need to send anything... I simply don't trust her! "Very nice" people working there...

Thanks guys!

Yes you need to get new police clearance from your home country and other countries that you spent 6 months stay.

Hi All , can someone let me know once you paid the fees and submit the receipt via case specific enquiry form , did you receive email from IRCC ? I feel it is more generic email and was not explaining about acknowledgment of receipt / we did some enquiry using case specific form .

I might be wrong . I am just trying to make sure If I am on same page with everyone

Thanks

The PASSPORT being requested here is not what will be used to issue you the PPR. They require photocopies of relevant pages of your passport, and if it would expire in 6 months' time, then you have to renew the passport. This should have included in your application, and you don't have bother if you or any of your dependants' passport is not expiring soon.

That's what I found on CIC website;

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.
