Hey guys, my work permit expires in May. Do you think I could extend it or get a BOWP using just AOR? This process is giving me a headache ...

yes you can. but i suggest that you apply via paper application. for online it will take you almost 4 mos. they are just processing august applicants. i sent mine last monday, just apply for open work permit - new employer.

I'm inland

I guess I'm going to follow this: "International Mobility Program: Provincial nominees and permanent residence applications – Bridging open work permits for certain federal economic class applicants" on CIC website and include IMM5710E; copies of AOR, Nomination, current WP, passport, receipts of paid fees and write a letter of explanation.

This seems to be true, depending on VO though. I have heard about VO in India being slow as they have a huge backlog.

Does it matter? Isn't all applicants goes to CIO Sydney first, then transfer to local VO if outland or Ottawa if inland?
so if AOR is slow due to backlogs, it must be from CIO Sydney

Question. I did my medical exams as part of my work permit application in august. We also sent the police clearance from our country. This all happened in august and we got here in september. Five months ago. Do you think they will ask for the medical and police clearance again?

Is it possible for an outland PNP applicant to get work visa when his application is in process at CIC for PR?

Next your file will be transferred (to your Local Visa Office outside Csnada or Inland, depending where you applied from) and then you will receive Medical Request.
