I need to correct the post...'due date 2 Dec' is for Security section. Due date on 2nd page of my GCMS is 2016/07/30 - which is expired long time ago :-/ Also, this GCMS is generated on 27 July. I assume that they probably moved my application due date few months later. I would be able to see this if I order another GCMS, but I won't do it now.
Personally, I'm happy to see every information on my GCMS is correct - including police certificates that I submitted. Enough for now :)

In my opinion, due date isn't very important or critical at all. Once they open our files to do 'security part' seriously, it won't take very long, I'm pretty sure. Like many applicants got 'DM' or 'PPR' soon after ECAS status showed 'In process' last year, 'last stage' of this processing won't take forever :) Let's hope they start opening and doing our applications soon. Best wish to everybody.

Thanks for updating.
Let's keep the faith and keep rolling.

Man im just so tired of this Painful Wait honestly. Like i have literally lost my weight because of this uncertainty.
I left taking Protein shakes since 2 months ago just because i was thinking i am going to get MR soon and did not want to show up this Protein concentration in Urine/Blood.
Like i gave up everything for this MR. But honestly CIC has no feelings for us man. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

This man you are funny, so becos of medical request you dont want to eat protenious food, i will advice you to start eating that, so that your cheeck will come out and you look nice, by the way, they dont check that during medicals, i will want you to do more research on what they check and the test they conducts, here are few tins they check
divided into 2 parts, the physical and the medicals
physical, check your hight, weight, eye color, posture, etc
medical, various test, urine test, hear beat/heart rate test, tuberculosis test, HIV test, etc

Anyone triend to apply BOWP 5 months before their existing WP expires? I am planning to go home to the Philippines this Christmas but my WP will expire on Jan 2017 (and my visa is expired). I'm pretty sure I have to renew my WP to get a TRV but I takes months to get a WP and I need to secure a visa before I leave. CIC website says existing WP should be due to expire within the next 4 months to be eligible for BOWP. I'm an Oct 2015 PR-PNP applicant and I don't think I'll get a decision anytime soon and I haven't even receive a medical request yet! :(

I'd advise you apply it as soon as you can since it took me 5+ months to get mine last year. I went into the same situation as you last year, I applied in late August and didn't get my WP till this mid January. Good luck!

So is it okay to apply now? My closed work permit will expire on Jan 20, 2017 so it's not due to expire within 4 months. I am planning to return on Jan 3, 2017 which is 2 weeks before my WP expiration date. I am thinking of apply only a TRV and then apply a BOWP mid September. My main goal is to secure a TRV while I'm still in Canada to avoid any issue re-entering. What are the chances of getting a TRV if my current WP is expiring in about 5 months? When I tried the CIC eligibility tool it says that if my existing WP is expiring soon (not sure how soon is soon) then I have to extend it first before applying a TRV. Thanks!

New week with new opportunities, good luck to all of us!

It takes a while for them to proceed and such. I wonder what would be the worse than could happen if you apply a little bit earlier? I'd much prefer an early application than a late one since there's no such thing called on-time application.
The TRV is a bit confusing since you probably would need that to re-enter Canada, no?

Hopeless for Sep applicant.
My work permit will expire Jan 2017.
I guess i should renew it at Oct or Nov :( :( :( :( :( :(
