July 13 applicant here. Called cic and told me everything is already passed just waiting on the final decision. Is that a good sign?

It's always a good thing, although there are many people in the same situation and still waiting...

Thanks to Pianat we have found out that when Background Check changes to ''IN progress'' it might take only a couple days to get Security approved. He remembered that my Background Check changed to In progress in August 18th, and according to my GMCS notes, my security was updated and passed on August 19th. It might not happen always like this, but it's an interesting thing

no, but as it has been said here many times, when it is not started it shows all the information, and when it is passed it shows blank and with a number on the top right of the page s.21

Also in the last page, on the Notes it shows file reviewed. No apparent A35/A37 concerns evident.

I have researched and A35/A37 is about security. Basically that you dont belong to any criminal organization, terrorism and that you haven't committed crimes againts humanity.

Mine is still in "Not Started" and it indicates "no A36/38 concerns evident"; it indicates s.21 though

I feel you. All my vacation plans for christmas are on hold.....I wanted to go in July or August but I thought I would get PPR so I thought it would be wiser to wait.....now we have the same history.....probably I will end up going on Vacation and I hope I get PPR before that.

it is better to go before than after, because u basically cannot re-enter Canada without a PR card or Travel document - for which we have to WAIT again.

that's why I will probably go on Vacation with CORP ready (if cic ever finishes my application) and I will do landing process when I come back at the airport.

All I wish is now remaining June and July applicants received PPR ssssooooo ssooooonnnn.

i applied for the notes on 31st aug. but now i realised that i choose the second option(the application supporting documents and correspondences to and from ircc)
instead of electronic notes by the immigration officer.
does that option will delay my application? did anybody choose the same option ever?

I regret to tell you that probably you will have to request notes again. If you asked them to look in a place where they might not have any information about you, I dont think they will assume by themselves that you actually wanted your electronic notes. Think about it. They are not going to do anything they haven't been asked for. Sorry

Yesterday I visited my MP Office and asked them to get some information about my application. Today(!) I got an answer that everything is passed. "The file now is waiting for final review". And I was asked to contact them again if I will not get PPR by middle of November. Will see...
And also it was amazing quick work by MP Office!
