hi all

i have received email that my application has been updated (in mycic). When i logged in to "mycic" there was no update of status. Has anyone else experienced the same?


P.S i am paper based applicant and my application is linked online to "mycic"

Same thing happened to me few weeks ago. Apparently no changes noted on mycic.

Ya i too received an email 2 hours ago but not seeing anything. Same happened on 27th.

myCIC is working now. Waiting ones can check if the Background Check turned in-process so that at least we can expect ppr on Monday.
Thinking it was system issue hence no ppr went out for the guys who had in-process last day. Hopefully rain is coming on Monday. Have a good weekend buddies. Its coming.

My update: Application is approved and closed online. Will be getting passport next week.

I have submitted my Passport to Ottawa on June 3rd which is one week later than you. Just wondering where do you see your Application is approved and close?

You would see the status change in myCIC account not ecas (if you have linked the paper application in mycic). After they process (/ in process of issuing visa &/or COPR), it seems they are updating the application with below status:

Application/profile details - Application/profile status:
Application/profile status: Closed
Review of eligibility: Passed
Review of medical results: Passed
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview
A background check is needed: Complete
Final decision: This application has been approved

Also nowadays the turnaround time is 2 weeks it seems hence we will get the passports in 2 weeks (earlier it was taking 3 weeks but will see if its going to be 3 weeks too for us).

I check mycic, but the status is still Background check In progress... hope cic office can update my profile by next week

I have linked my application to MyCIC. It shows background check in progress. I havent received medical request yet though. I follow this forum for long time. I observed that If B/G shows In progress means PPR is next but my medical is not done. What does it mean? Please advise.

Mine was similar. background check was "in progress" before my medical request. Then after a few days background check changed back to "Not started"!

Almost approaching 1 year, wonder if next week will bring some light on the remaining applicants. They are taking so long nowadays. We thought after last week's PPR shower they will continue it this week as well, but this week was almost dead with a few sporadic PPRs. Here is my status on ECAS and MyCIC.
