Grats! I have emailed them back in November and finally received a responded from them last week saying they have received my application and file number will come in due course. My application reached CIO on September 18, so hopefully I will get mine in the next two weeks.

Hi,

Can you please share the email address you sent mail to?

As you didn't have your file number at the time of writing that e-mail, what personal information have you wrote on that e-mail? Have you wrote your birth date?
Thanks

To yeshans1311: yes off course.
To Elfian: Nova Scotia
To odonacer: Yes, as there could be many more people of same name, DOB is a unique ID of yours. Apart from this your full name, adderss, payment receipt, courier receipt.

I provided them with UCI as well as all my personal information such as name, address and email. In addition, I made the payment online so I included the receipt number too.

As for the email address it is listed on the CIC website when you search contact CIO or contact visa office it will show up. On there is a list of conditions that you need to meet in order for CIO to respond to you; otherwise, they will just ignore your email.

Hey is there any one who recived there medical in August and sent it in August? I sent my medical on August 28 and haven't got any thing after that it's been almost 5 months after medical. And when i was coming from usa back into Canada around 3 days back I asked the immigration officar of he can look at my file he looked at it and told me that my file was transferred from cio Sydney Nova Scotia to other office a day before but it dose not show him where it was transferred. I am getting confused now would they have transferred it to Ottawa office from there?

Interesting, coming to a September topic where 80% people are waiting for AOR and asking for August Medical update!!! :-X

Still waiting for AOR also, my documents was received Sept 24, 2014. I sent them email asking for any updates last Oct 9 just got reply last Dec 1 saying; Please be advised that your application was received on 24 September 2014 and is currently awaiting initial processing. Notification will be sent in due course.

Congrats!.

For those sending emails. Think of this....if your application was received by CIC prior to Sept 17th and you're a PNP everyone is in the same boat. Processing times have slowed since around sept 5th applicants. The last update prior to Raiders was sept 16th. So we've moved one day in one week. I have not seen anyone with AOR past a sept 17th CIC recvd date

my case reached cic on Sept. 16th and still no AOR, what's the reason?

Not to be depressing, but with Express Entry expecting their first draw sometime this week I doubt there will be any movement in CIC. I think they are still processing applications received on September 16 and 17 at the moment.

What do you mean by "processing"? There is no processing taking place and that's because of bunch of jerks who don't do their jobs. Shame on Canada such an organization.

You know guys, CIC people don't care because they are mainly dealing with foreigners. If they had to deal with Canadians, they would have done their jobs. This means that as long as nobody is bringing this up, they will treat us as a sh*t (sorry but it is the truth).

I will try to contact CBC and bring this issue to media. Anybody who is able to do it, please don't hesitate. If CBC received calls from many people, we would have better chance to get our voice heard.

If your application reached 10 weeks or over you can send them email inquiry or call them.
