You are right. But CIC's intake Departement is also located in NS. The CPC in Ottawa only processes applications that are a bit unusual, therefore more complicated. CPC is the higher authority and takes care of the decisions, that CIO agents are afraid make.
Everything else gets processed in Sydney.

I remember there is no intakedept in NS. Application initially goes from NS to Sydney office and from there to the designated CIC Intake which applicants can opt. In my case i opted Ottawa ;D

My status is IP from 6 July. Today I received an email from Ottawa office asking for:

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following document:
Ø The enclosed Details of Military Service form
Ø Please provide CV and Cover letter, as well as the enclosed Graduate form.

Is it normal? anyone heard that after IP they asked for these kind of information?

As per GCMS notes, my file is in ottawa since May 26, but still waiting for DM /PPR.

I'm not sure that is correct. Sydney is a city in Nova Scotia and CIO is an abbreviation of Centralized 'Intake' Office.

A very small percentage of us did NOT serve in the Military ..meaning most do not have military information on our apps hence no need for details of military service. I suppose you have military service so while it is not normal, it may be normal in your case. Your military service history may be the reason your case was referred to Ottawa. There's sometimes additional security inquiry. When did your file reach CIC ?
