Hi devpsd,
I called them a month ago with the similar strategy (basically asked the agent to check if they have all docs, ...). He checked and said all documents are there and nothing is needed. But I am still IP (since June 10). I may call them again tomorrow.
Thanks

I can imagine how frustrating it must be. I was frustrated for several months even though it was well within the processing time and there were others waiting with me. Now just a few of you from May are stuck for god knows what reason. Well patience is the only thing you need now. At least they have all the documents, then its not you who is holding the ppr.

I got my gcms notes a few days ago, and eligibility, criminality, etc was done. But they were waiting for the security results which is done by Intelligence. I think based on how much it takes them to wrap up individual cases, each of us would have different timelines since CIC can not speed up the process anyway.

I have a feeling that all of us that haven't got their PPR yet are on the same boat, and we just have to wait...

I have a question hopefully someone has been in a similar situation:

- So I am right now on a work permit that is valid until 2018, and come from a country that needs a TRV. My visa is valid until 2018 as well.
- I applied for PR on July 2014 and my application is still "In Process"
- I want to go home this December for 3 weeks

What happens if I get PPR between now and December? How much time are you given to send your passport? Once you send your passport, how long does it take for Ottawa to send it back? Also, once I have my PR visa, could I wait to do the landing until January 2016 when I come back to Canada?

Heyy Anans,

1. You have 30 days to send your passport after you receive the PPR email.
2. It usually takes around 10-14 days for the whole process of sending and getting back your passport.
3. Your permanent resident visa will be valid until a year after your medical results were received by CIC. You have to land before the expiry date of your visa.

Hello Guys,

My ECAS says decision made. Happy as well as worried at the same time. Do you think I should call CIC and they will tell me the decision?

And also I am keep checking in their in line service link with my UCI no, but unfortunately there are no updates.

Thank you in advanced.

I was on vacation and noticed that my ecas changed to decision made!
One small step for CIC, one giant step for me!
Now I have no idea how long it will take to get COPR because I have another PR application in process.

Thanks for your support everyone and do not loose hope.
