I just received my PP and COPR.
One question: All details are correct except the original and last date of entry in copr. Both are the same as last date of entry. Do I need to call cic regarding this? I had entered before that date and travelled for 5 days after that date(after application)...
Visa issues on 1/6/2015, next working day after cic receipt

Hi referring to devpsd's post above.

I received my passports too. Similar to his, mine has both the original and last date of entry in copr same as the original date of entry.
In reality, I had traveled to India last year and had entered Canada again in December. Shouldn't that be counted as last date of entry?
Is it usual and normal or should I inform CPC-Ottawa?

Thanks for help.

Hi!! Was the baby born in Canada? What is the procedure of in
Process application status and baby borned in Canada. I have already notified ottawa office about this. Still no reply. Any suggesstions??

Hi,
I had applied PNP PR application in June 13, 2014. My ECAS show "InProcess" VO New Delhi India

We received your application for permanent residence on June 13, 2014.

We started processing your application on October 16, 2014.

I received phone call from NDVO on April 28, 2015, after that no update till no.

How much time it take to send Medical Letter after Phone Call?

Well one thing is obvious. the reason copr does not record latest entry to canada is because some of us travelled outside canada while application was in process at cic. so they dont know about it and we never informed them
Also i have seen in other forums where people had same issue. However, no one had a problem in landing. Almost everyone travels after application and cic seems to enter latest entry prior to application. i dont think it matters.
As the letter clearly says that we need to check name, dob and address are correct.name and dob and pp number should match exactly.

Has anyone here changed the date of original entry in COPR? I ask since with the new rules, only the date you actually land / become a PR matters for residency and citizenship obligations...not the date you first arrived in Canada before you became PR.

My original date of entry is wrong on the COPR, so am wondering if it's worth it to change or not...

Finally landed in Niagara Falls...the process was too easy. Did flagpoling at 7am, then walked back...and they didn't even look at any supporting documents, just passport and COPR. Start to finish, the process took maybe 30 minutes. Nobody else was around...so would strongly suggest you do the landing very early in the morning or late in the night.

Hello cupcakes. Congrats!
i am planning to land tomorrow at niagara. could u please let me know if there is a separate route for those who need to do just the landing or just follow the usual path. i dont have a car, my friend is driving me there. he would wait while i exit n enter canada. Any special place to park.

My friend just drove around for a bit while I walked across and back. Because we went so early (by like 6 or 7am), parking wasn't a problem for him, as he just waited in his car in one of the streets close to Boston Pizza, and drove a bit here and there. Time will go by before you even realize it. There is no separate route or anything like that.

I'd recommend going very early (or very late) to beat any crowd.

I was in the same situation 4 month ago.

If you have informed them and sent them a scanned copy of the birth certificate, you won't have to do anything else. It takes them a long time to respond to messages sometimes. They will only acknowledge the birth of the child and inform you, that your family information has been updated. That's all. The birth certificate from canada serves as proof of canadian citizenship. Therefore, your child doesn't need to apply for PR. No additional documents to fill out. It's all good.

Thanks cupcakes. valuable input.
unfortunately i cannot choose early or late. it depends on my friends availability. but thats ok. waited a year. can wait few more hours.
About the copr dates: i have seen many applicants landing with the incorrect date. some of them even notified the officer during landing but they didnt seem to care. you made a very good point. change of rules for citizenship application from PR status date; thats why they may be printing latest entry and not first.

Hi cupcakes, just wondering, do we need a US visa to exit Canada and come back?

I don't think so...but I had one. But I flagpoled, so I got a "refusal" letter from the US side. Apparently, that's a normal thing to get and won't affect future travel to the US...let's see.
