Nope, they haven't asked anything related to my financial status or savings. He asked about my current address, and if I had any criminal background so far. I just handed the documents (along with my previous study/work permits as he takes these off), the officer processed the files and informed me about my rights in Canada. He also suggested to update my SIN and provincial/company insurance stuff, and welcomed me to Canada.

The US officers were quite helpful as well, they asked the generic questions if I had any criminal records and other stuff.

Good to know about your pleasant landing, Bro. So, I hope you have a great career and enjoy Canadian-life, ;), to the fullest.

I just received my PP and COPR.
One question: All details are correct except the original and last date of entry in copr. Both are the same as last date of entry. Do I need to call cic regarding this? I had entered before that date and travelled for 5 days after that date(after application)...
Visa issues on 1/6/2015, next working day after cic receipt

I didnt even read all that stuff. Just check your name(s) and address. then go to the border and land or setup an appointment with CIC to do it.

AND you are finally done!. Congrats.

Hi,
I just received an email from CPC requesting my police certificate. I got a new police certificate 5 months ago when I visited my country for a week. Since that time I have not traveled to my country. Does any body know if I can send that police certificate ? Or I need to get a new one?
This is the email I received :

"Police Certificate: Please provide a Police Certificate (certified criminal record check). This must be received at this office by: 2015/08/10"

Also do I need to mail it or I can just scan it and email it to them ?

Thank you

We landed at the Carway Border last Saturday and we sat there and waited for 2 hours. Canadian Immigration officers were NOT nice (did not even congratulated us) unlike the US side. Never advised us to update SIN and health card, just informed us that PR cards will arrive in 2-3 months and just said "You can go!"

Question is: Until now, my ECAS status still says Decision Made. When will this change to "Complete"?

It'll take a few days. I didn't check my ECAS every day so I'm not sure exactly when mine changed, but it was within a week.

Hi, I am also asked for PCC. I had one from Aug last year. I am making in middle of getting a new one as I saw on the forum its better to get a new one than sending one that is more than 3 months old. I think its better to get a new one than to send old one and getting another request afterwards if they don`t accept that one.

Anybody else?

My mail tracker for my CoPR has been activated last night :D

You need to get new certificate and you have to send by post. CIC wants original PCC not a scan copy and PCC can not be 3 months old, if CIC receive before three months that will be valid for one year.

Hi guys,
I've got my passports back. Something for you guys to reference:
1- I sent my passports on 27th, May, they received it on 29th May. My Visa was issued on 1st, June. They sent it back on 9th June. For some reasons (maybe that's the way they work), they kept everything for the whole week before they sent it back to me.
2- Visa is valid until 8th, August, 2015 which is the last day of my 1 year medical examination (I did my medical examination on 8th August, 2014).

Hi guys,
I sent in my India PCC which was issued in August 2014 and US PCC issued Nov 2014 just two weeks ago, and they accepted it. I got confirmation from CIC that my application has passed the eligibility state and they just require my RPRF to approve the app. Hope this helps.
Also, you need to send in original PCC...scanned copy is not accepted. You can scan it and keep it for your own records...but you must send originals.

Thanks.

Guys, How long is it taking for passports to get stamped and retuned back? I am stuck in a weird situation :/

I received my PPR and sent them my passport (My spouse is in India) along with an explanation letter. I also replied back to PPR email. My passport reached Ottawa on June 1st, and on June 2nd, i got an email stating that my visa office has been changed to New Delhi, India, and now i need to submit my and my spouse's passport there.

Now i am tense about whether my visa will get stamped or not, and on the other hand, the clock has started to tick for my wife as well, who needs to submit her passport within 30 days. She can't do that without my copy of passport which shows my visa stamped on it. (Yes- you can do that. One can have their passport stamped here and then send a copy of the passport with an explanation letter to the consulate in India explaining the situation).

AAaaaaaaRRRrrrrRRRrrgggggggHHhhhh.......!!!!!!! :-\

Hi there,

I am in a similar situation as I am in Canada but my husband is not. I have not received PPR yet but after I get it, can we not send our passports separately and does he have to wait for mine to get stamped first? I'm confused now... I appreciate if someone can help.

Thanks!

Hi,

Did you get IP or DM yet?

For your question: I think your husband should send his pass to the Canada Embassy in your country or the country that is responsible to serve your nationality.

Just Landed 06/06/2015!!!
