Hello,

Why I see some posts here says CIC requests PCC during the process? I remember the instruction says inland applicants doesn't need to provide this for Canada

The instruction is that if you have stayed in country outside of canada for more than 6 months in the last 10 years (or since you were 18 years of age), then you provide PCC of the home country. If you do not provide it, CIC will ask for it. CIC also requests fingerprint with RCMP for certain inland candidates.

Hello guys,

I completed my landing at Sarnia/Port Huron border. It went smoothly and took less than 10 mins. Compared to US side, CBSA were extremely nice and very polite. The CBSA officer asked us for our document and we said we are here for landing. He smiled at us and said Congrats, its big days :) He gave us a yellow slip, and saw another officer. He asked us to park the car and come inside Immigration office. Inside office, he looked our passport, COPR and driver's license ( for address). He asked couple of questions about criminality and dependents and requested us to put the initial next to the answer. He also asked us how much money we have. After 5 mins of wait, he called us again and asked us to sign in COPR. It went very smoothly, and no other questions. It was in the evening time, so no line up and no extra waiting time...:D

Good luck my friends who are on the pipleline. It was almost a year long waiting, curiosity because of CIC's lack of transparency. But, finally its OVER :D

Well your part is done; u need to wait. It is frustrating but there is no choice since we, in our full conscience, decided to immigrate here. All through my waiting period i was trying to focus on the reason I left my home country and came here. That's what kept me going.
The agents are very crass. I have called them only once since application. I am not sure why cic even spends money on maintaining a call centre whose agents are as good as automated machines. They have lot of applications, 1000s of calls and same questions every day. Just like a hospital, our pain or ailments are unique to us but for them we are another file number. And they have been instructed to say same thing to dissuade people from calling and achieve call time targets

Indeed. One thing which surprises me a bit is that we received medical test invitations at the same time. I am sure I didnt waste any time and tried to contact all the doctors on the panel but could get appointment only after 2 weeks of the date of invitation. How come you guys managed to get it done so early? Did you do it beforehand? Just curious.

Not yet. I am worried now. I am already applying for new jobs, hoping that I will get a PR soon and can switch right away. When do you think we should start to get worried?

Depends on location. i am in toronto, contacted the clinic my friend went to. Appointment was within a week. But then clinic or cic took 16 days to confirm receipt.
Dont beat up urself with the 'what if' questions. cic works in a way which jackson pollack can explain. i asked myself what if i applied early may or june/july or 2 years ago. Why opnp? it will happen when it has to. u r in the same batch as us; u shud get PPR directly.

Can we expect additional document request after IP? Just wondering! Do we have any such case here in this thread?
