What will happen if I am not in town to collect my passport from Canada Post? Do you know if Canada Post needs the passport holder to collect the passport at delivery, or can the passport be held by my concierge?

If u haven't selected signature option, then it will delivered at ur community mailbox.
Or else they will knock ur door and anyone can sign and collect.
If no one is there at ur home then they will take it to nearest post office. U can collect from there showing ur ID within 30 days.

Congrats to all who got DM's, PPR's and Landed as PR now.

I wanted to know if you guys can give me an idea of the validity of the Immigrant visa you get from Ottawa after PPR. I'm asking as I was planning to go back home for few days and do landing at the airport when I come back.

My Visa was issued on 25th May 2015 and it was valid till 17th Feb 2016
Thats toooooo long but it is single entry visa

so don't worry

Well it depends when is your Medical is expiring! They will issue the Visa for that long.

Hello friends , i just called CIC and explained about my situation that i got DM online since May 19 but actual decision was made on may 13 and havenot heard anything after that reg PPR. She said its weird , it shouldnot take that long once the decision is made .., she was gonna send me the info via email to email CIC officer to find out whats going on nut havent received anything yet. :'(

I called cic today and asked about the deciion on my file..call centre agent was saying the same thing which they were saying before(your processing time is 16 months ...)
